Charles Stanley died today at age 90. He is now with his Lord and Savior.

I’m kinda sad… I know he’s with God, but I enjoyed his balanced and encouraging sermons. I’ve been getting his monthly mail out letters for a couple years. I have one of his last ones on the table. I even got his namesake Bible as a gift from my Aunt a few years ago. If I remember correctly, he had just recently announced he was stepping down as the main guy and was to be concentrating on other things within his ministry. God’s timing is perfect. He was called home! 

Bittersweet news. I know he’s in a much better place… but I’ll miss his teachings.

He was an old fashioned preacher that had a comforting tone, but he was balanced and not shy about pointing out sin.

I knew he was old, but I thought he’d somehow stick around a bit longer…

I had his website bookmarked on my phone. He died today, Tuesday the 18th of April. He got one last Sunday in before he left us.
