Yessir, I really like them! I just picked up No Rest, No Mercy...also, their Demo sessions ep and The Other Side Of Midnight. Enjoying some classic metal!Temple of Blood wrote:Ammocas wrote:

Such a big step up from the debut! The musicianship has greatly increased. The songwriting has more depth. I like the crisp, clean production but I'd wonder if they had a different producer how much more power could be added to this. It doesn't need to be slick and overproduced but the guitars, though clear, bright and firm in the mix don't drive the sound like I believe they actually do. They sound "tame" somehow. Robyn's vocals and thee drumming lead a little too much. I'm not sure that's even a complaint, just a side note to a fantastic album.

Neal Morse - The Greatest Love of All.
Great song for a great day. On the off chance that some oneelse here observes Eastern Orthodox Easter, I wish you a happy and blessed Pascha! Christos Anesti!
This coupled with the reprise of Love Has Called My Name make for such a great finale. IMO, there's no one else who can pull off the big finale on a concept album as well as Neal.
That is EXCELLENT news! I love the Neal Morse band - in fact The Similitude of a Dream actually managed to dethrone Theocracy's As the World Bleeds and become my favorite album of all time.
But there's just something special about Neal Morse's solo prog works. Something the NMB lacks, and it's not just lyrics. I don't know how to put it into words.
I hope it's more like ? than Sola Scriptura though. The former is his best solo album, but I feel that the latter, while good, is overrated.

Andreas89 wrote:Well apparently he IS working on a solo prog album again! At least if I understand his facebook posts right. He mentioned something about a new album a few times now, and clearly not in the Transatlantic context (which is also in the works BTW) because he'd send some stuff to Randy George and Mike Portnoy. Also comparing the material to Questionmark and Sola Scriptura. And it is to be a concept album.Frozen Fire wrote:Andreas89 wrote:Neal Morse - Testimony 2
I really wish that Neal will be doing some solo prog work again.
Technically his double album "Jesus Christ: The Exorcist" was a solo album. I know it was an ensemble "musical" but, with both that and the Great Adventure album coming out in the same year, I consider it a solo release.
I understand what you mean though.
Sorry for being off topic, I'm just a bit too excited about this

Nadarkhani - No Forgiveness for him
Per the band: No Forgiveness for him describes the terrible divine revenge on all creation through his four apocalyptic knights, an eschatological song, with the atmosphere and climax of Armageddon, the brutality, the intense fury of Brazilian Black Metal proclaiming the supremacy of Christ!
