The Call with Been's son on vocals.
I loved The Call and just stumbled on this recently. Don't know if anyone else was into them but it's well done.

That live version, and the one by Taff are both great (the Taff one surprised me a little too, he really rocked it up).
My first exposure to the song was through Tim Cappello's cover in the Lost Boys movie. I was surprised to learn a few years later that it was a cover.

It's one of those songs that has a life of it's own, it's that good.

I dig The Call... have all of their releases that were released on CD, including Michael Been's solo album. I saw the concert footage with Michael's son a while back; he did an excellent job.

There aren't bands like them anymore imo.

Agreed. I can only surmise that they never broke big because they weren't pretentious: They never dressed outlandishly or sang of the obscene. They were socially conscious and Michael often sang of his hope in God without being preachy. There was much joy to be found in many of the songs.Black Rider wrote:There aren't bands like them anymore imo.
