New Extreme album coming in 2020

Hope it's better than Saudades de Rock....

I liked Saudades, reminds me of some 70s stuff like Foghat or even Zep at times.

I liked Saudades too. The only Extreme album I'm struggling with is Waiting For The Punchline

Waiting was a little too grungy for me at times.

This should be interesting.  It would also be keen to hear a potential joint venture between Michael Sweet and Gary Cherone.

A new Extreme album is LONG overdue.  I became a fan when 3 Sides To Every Story came out. I saw them live for the first time a few months ago and they were amazing. I hope to see them in concert again.

3 Sides is one killer album!

Three Sides should've made them huge but they had almost no label support and the masses are sheeple.

Three sides is severely underrated.

I was fully aware of Extreme with the first two albums.  It was not until 3 Side came out that the band won me over.  Unfortunately they were labeled as funk metal and thrown in with the hair metal crowd.  Being a Queen fan I understood the multifaceted musical approach that Extreme took.  They were not just funk metal, hair metal or a ballad band.  They were all of those and more.

I agree Guitar Noir, kind of like a King's X or even Galactic Cowboys. Hard to pigeonhole yet such good music.

The only album I like by Extreme (and I love it!) is Pornograffitti. III Sides had a few songs I liked, but they never topped Pornograffitti, IMO.

It's a good album, more straight hard rock then the next albums.

Extreme's second album may be their best seller, but it is my least favorite of their album's.

Don't buy in, guys... The site AllDat linked from is a farce.  Read the fine print stuff like "Is Extreme a Secretly Gay Band?", etc... (Dec. 24 article).  It's all stupid satire.

On a serious note: Extreme is a great band.

It may be satire, but Eddie Trunk has mentioned the new album on Hair Nation as well.  So, I am still betting they are doing something new.

I hope they do, Alldat… Count me in as an Extreme fan.  Nuno is one great guitarist, and Gary shines as a vocalist and meaningful lyricist.  Glad you heard more info via Eddie Trunk... I simply went to the posted link and saw that it seemed to read more like an "out there" tabloid rather than a news source.

Nope, nobody likes them. Isn't it obvious?
