Well this past Sunday was the "official" due date but still no baby yet! We're feeling pretty [relatively] ready though and are looking forward to meeting this little one soon.

Was your first born after the "official" due date? All of our 4 were about 2 weeks after the doctor's due date. Those days were EXCRUCIATINGLY long waiting for baby to come!

Nope, both our other girls were ~10 or so days past due. We don't mind waiting some: if the kid's not ready yet, no need to push it (pun intended, heh). But by law, the midwife can't deliver if we pass two weeks and then we'd have to go to the hospital which we'd really like to avoid. Prayers appreciated!

Moving company here in Germany tried to squeeze us out big time by asking 8500(!) euros for the move. I already got multiple offers and even another one as early as next week would 'only' be 5000. That's still a lot so I contacted a cousin who knows how to drive a truck. Maybe we can arrange something next month.

Thank you! Silvia is her name and she's a bit of a chunker: over 9 pounds! But everything went very well and my wife's recovering quite quickly.

Yes there are a lot of restrictions midwives have and for many births, it's best to be in the hospital. Many women prefer that anyways. I always thought home births were just for hippies, but upon doing some research, was pretty quickly convinced it's ideal if possible. God's been very merciful to us in that we've been able to have all three children at home without any issues the midwives weren't capable of handling. I'm especially proud of my wife doing all three without any medications of any sort!

We also have two cats. Our female, the Torbie, is named Belle after the Disney princess in Beauty & the Beast.

The boy child, our ginger boy, is named Albus Dumbleroar. I couldn't remember all the middle names.

Made it to church this morning, one of the LifePoint ones. In over 35 years of church attendance, it was the first time ever a pastor mentioned both the Nephilim and UFOs in the same sermon. Smile

I find it quite interesting how many people for years, thought the government was hiding the fact they had UFOs and alien bodies. Now that an agent said it under oath, those same people are thinking the government is still hiding something, using 'aliens' as a distraction. (most people think its to draw attention away from the president's son's trial that same day - but I think it has more to do with the fed raising interest to 5.25%-5.5% that same day, the highest its been since 2001)

For a week now, my wife and I have had 2 indoor male kittens at home. We compromised on the names Fred and Barney. Its for the best really, because if I named them, my wife's grandparents and my own mother would never be able to remember/pronounce the names.
lol!

In high school, my brother and I named a cat "Fnernfy", and to this day my mother still can't say that cat's name. (She always said something like Snerfy instead)

Well you have to admit, this administration and their media brown shirts are masters of distraction and manipulation.
If it's not 24/7 Trump Trump Trump it's more of Covid, Ukraine, White Supremacy, Latest Mass Shooter, Bud Light boycotts, DeSantis, RFK Jr, etc. etc.

Research has shown that the frequency, intensity, and positivity or negativity of headline stories will significantly impact an individual's attitudes, behavior and judgments about those topics. It's called "priming" and the media has it down to a cold and malevolent science.
