Re: Which Alice Cooper songs have Christian content?
The Last Temptation does in a allegorical sense. The song, My God, might be the most overt.
If I should find myself in blackest night,
And fear is stabbin' me all over,
A tiny prayer cracks the dark with light,
And I here sounds behind my wall.
Inside, a still small voice, it calls and calls.
Then like a thunder bolt it falls and falls:
My God!
When life becomes more real than children's games,
Or we've become too old to play them,
We'll grow old gracefully,
We'll hide our shame.
But there's that voice behind the wall.
And like my conscience, it is still and small.
Each word is mercy, protects us all:
My God!
"Et in lux perpetuo"
"Deu domine"
"Et in pax aeternus"
"Deu domine"
I was a boy, when tempted, fell sometimes,
And fell so low, no one could see me,
Save for the eyes of Him that sees my crime.
When sheep, like me, have drifted lost,
All frightened children who are tempest tossed,
Down flies His wrath like an albatross:
My God!

Re: Which Alice Cooper songs have Christian content?
Used to have every Alice Cooper album at one point. Prince of Darkness from Raise Your Fist and Yell has the right bend for Satan as deceiver.
Salvation from Along Came A Spider has the gospel in it.
What if I'm wrong?
I've been deceived all along
What if I'm wrong?
What have I done?
Did I waste a life just for fun?
What have I done?
What did I do?
I did what voices told me to
What did I do?
Where will I go?
Will I sink through fire down below
Where will I go?
Any chance of salvation
Any chance for me
Any chance of salvation for eternity
Any chance of salvation
Someone died for me
Washed in blood, he cared enough to pity me
Why do I care?
What's wrong with me, my hate is gone?
Why do I care?
When did I change?
What's different now, it's very strange?
When did I change?
Any chance of salvation
Any chance for me
Any chance of salvation for eternity
Any chance of salvation
Someone died for me
Washed in blood, he cared enough to pity me
In my heart, in my soul
Some thing's new, that's very old
Like a pain that's finally gone
I feel my heavy burden lifted
Any chance of salvation
Any chance for me
Any chance of salvation

Re: Which Alice Cooper songs have Christian content?
The Last Temptation album has the same storyline as Resurrection Band's Lament album.
Dragontown is his other most overtly Christian album. I personally like "Dragontown," "Sex Death and Money," "I Just Wanna Be God," and "It's Much too Late" from Dragontown.
Dirty Diamonds has the song "Run Down the Devil" - a daydream about turning the devil into roadkill with his car.
"Salvation" from Along Came a Spider has already been mentioned.
Brutal Planet is dark and more about the fallen state of the world. Not as blatantly Christian but written from a Christian perspective.
Welcome 2 My Nightmare and Paranormal don't have much Christian in them (debatably "I Am Made of You" could be a Christian song), but they're not un-Christian either.

Holy Water from the Paranormal album would qualify as well.

Many...
Alice has had many songs and albums over the decades that were pretty Christian oriented, particularly from *the last temptation of alice cooper* album, onward, which most of the songs on that album are pretty much Christian metal/shock rock songs, except 1 or 2.
Brutal planet and dragontown also both are pretty much Christian shock rock/industrial metal albums through and through. Since that trio of albums I don't think hes been as overt in having whole albums revolve around his Christian views....but they all have songs on them that do.
My favorite of his Christian albums or since he became a born againer is *the last temptation...* album, which is also probably my 3rd favorite Alice album, in all.

My favorite Alice Cooper album *raise your fist...*. His heaviest in terms of verging on Priest-ish speed metal and dark lyrics. Just phenomenal

Re: Which Alice Cooper songs have Christian content?
In his Theatre of Death shows, Alice would shout "Repent" in between songs in the middle of the show. If I remember right, I believe it came after the song "Guilty". Even in those shows, there was a message there regarding the consequences of sin.
I always thought Brutal Planet had a strong Christian message, especially the title track. The song Gimme was pretty obvious too, and given that it was such a dark topic and dark video throughout, the video was actually hilarious at the end - classic for Alice's sense of humor and sense of juxtaposition.
I also really liked Dragontown. I always wished I could've seen him on that tour or the Brutal Planet tour, but I did get to see his Theatre of Death show twice, so no complaints because that was a fantastic show.

I do! It is a great collection of cover tunes that influences Aloe I his early days. All the bands covered are from Detroit.

Same question for Road: is there Christian-specific content on it?

The interview with Pastor Greg is amazing. Alice's trilogy of "Christian" albums are Last Temptation, Brutal Planet, and Dragontown. After this, he had some Christian lyrics but really not many. But in his favor, he is very outspoken when he talks about his faith.
