Rediscovering The Sacrificed Empty Rediscovering The Sacrificed

I’d not listened to The Sacrificed in a long time. For whatever reason, the chorus of “No Promise of Tomorrow” popped into my head. It made me pull out “2012” and “III”. This was just a great band. I miss ‘em. I like the sound and production of “III” better but I think I like the songwriting on “2012” a little better. Both are great albums, though.

My favorite is III, mostly because it has better production and because of Michael Phillips talent that added a lot to the band.

2012 is a solid album but it has so many tracks that it is hard to get attached to it. Nowadays I think that 8 to 10 tracks is more than enough for an album.

I also got the remastered version of The Da Vinci Hoax, but somehow I could never get into it.

Sadly they're done.

I really liked III, wish they'd done another one.

I owned and traded away all three.  I even did the remastered version.  Why did I get rid of them?  The vocals are buried behind the music and I can't understand what they are singing.  All three albums are that way as is Eli's Sacred Warrior album.  He has a great voice, so why always hide it?  They claimed it wasn't supposed to be that way with Sacred Warrior, but this happened on all four of these releases.  They should have been favorites and I ended up not liking any.

I love this band, especially iii. "Falling" is my favorite song. They should reunite imho.
