Emery and 1,001 other bands exhausted this sound 15 years ago.

Quite a bit heavier than Emery if you ask me, but whateverImagoDei wrote:Emery and 1,001 other bands exhausted this sound 15 years ago.
No one else on this forum, but me, cares about modern music anyway

Oh I dig modern music and wasn't trying to be insulting, I just think Christian metalcore had 3-5 bands that put out something original, and those albums keep getting released over and over rebranded with different artwork and band members. The Emery reference I'm thinking of is their first album which came out circa 2003-2005ish. They may have gotten lighter as time went on. Beloved is another band that did this.

You kidding?? Maybe you're referring to one particular genre?

Sorry I apologize for my initial response, I know what you mean, and Emery is a great bandImagoDei wrote:Oh I dig modern music and wasn't trying to be insulting, I just think Christian metalcore had 3-5 bands that put out something original, and those albums keep getting released over and over rebranded with different artwork and band members. I just sometimes get annoyed whenever I post bands Im a fan of that I always get at least a few comments talking about it being "generic" metalcore blah blah
Its all good, I know there quite a few still on here that jam modern music

I like modern music but nothing in the metal core range. I love Skillet and Seventh Day Slumber. I like Disciple, Decyfer Down, TFK, and Random Hero. I like more bands in that vein as well.

Hardcore Christian, these are some good songs (especially "Charlatan"). I'm always down for new metalcore. I think it was you that got me into Gideon a while back.

Not really my thing but I’ll pass it along to some friends who dig this kind of music.
