Stryper Announces New Bass Player Perry Richardson
After months of speculation, multi-platinum rock band Stryper is excited to announce the addition of iconic bass player Perry Richardson to the band lineup. Richardson joins original members Michael Sweet (vocals and guitar), Robert Sweet (drums) and Oz Fox (guitar), all of whom are currently in pre-production on their upcoming album due in 2018 from Frontiers Music SRL.

At the very least, it's an improvement in hair.

This is a GREAT move! His work in Firehouse is excellent. I can't wait to hear what he does in Stryper! Man, I'm psyched! Awesome, awesome news!

Re: Stryper Announces New Bass Player Perry Richardson
I don't know this guy.
I red somewhere Michael stating that he was looking for a bass player who would be a "team player and would go out there with a smile on its face"
I found this statement funny because Tim always looked so serious. In the last Stryper concert I went to, I had the impression that Tim wished he could have been in another place.
He was showing no emotion on stage with his poker face. But I guess that is simply the way he is.

Here is what Perry posted on Facebook:
Hello everyone...just wanted to stop in and say hi, and thank everyone for welcoming me to the family! The band and everyone on their team have made me feel right at home. Love them already!! I’ve been reading many of your posts, and I totally understand your concerns about my background and whether or not I’m a Christian. I’m proud to say that I am, and have been since I was a kid. I even sang in a southern gospel quartet until I was 14! Lol
Stryper has been a huge influence on me since our first meeting in 1985, and I’m finding it hard to express how honored I am to be a part of family. I hope all of you will give me a chance to prove myself. I’m so excited for the future, and can’t wait to get on the road and meet you guys! P
