My wife and I are expecting - prayers requested!

Last November my wife miscarried in the third month of pregnancy. Today we found out she's pregnant again! We are very pleased after more than half a year of sadness, but we are a bit more restrained of course, because we know how things can go wrong.

We know about this only since today (of course, our family knows already), and we are so early in sharing this for various reasons. First, my wife is a scientist who does research in laboratories with dangerous contents, so her boss should know instantly, today even. And it's not right to tell her boss before our families. Second, we know that most people don't tell this early in order to prevent disappointment, they even shield themselves for it like that. But we believe that our child already is an individual human being, so we won't lie to ourselves or others for convenience. No matter how painful it is when things go wrong.

This last point is exactly a reason for me to share this with you guys already. Again, we know how things can go wrong, and we believe in the power of prayer of the saints (meaning you guys). Especially when things are so uncertain and fragile, prayer is greatly appreciated. So please, pray to God for this child's health and safety. And pray for my wife and I, that we may walk the right way in this situation.
I'm looking at me especially, because I feel like I failed miserably during the last pregnancy; I have grieved my Lord and my wife deeply because I did not know how to handle the relatival isolation and fell back into sins of old. I will do the same of course, and fight the good fight.

Many of us have been thru similar circumstances.  I will be praying.
