Livna wrote:Saw a special screening of Tommy Weiseau’s movie The Room. If you’re not familiar The Room is billed as “The Best Worst Movie Ever Made.” You go to it and it’s total audience participation much like Rocky Horror. People bring plastic spoons and any scene in the apartment where you see these pictures with stock photos of spoons, everyone yells out “SPOONS!!!” Then you throw your plastic spoons at the screen.
Maybe I am just too old to understand, but that sounds like a horrible experience. Add to this the misery you are adding to the theater staff that has to clean up all those spoons. I think I will pass.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I agree that The Room isn’t for everybody. I saw it at this small theater where they play cult films and old classics. The staff actually encouraged the spoons throwing and they even provided the spoons. It was funny because I went with my brother and he asked me if this movie was made to be intentionally bad.alldatndensum wrote:Livna wrote:Saw a special screening of Tommy Weiseau’s movie The Room. 9. I'm kind of burnt out on post-apocalyptic stuff (outside of Adventure Time), but this was still a pretty cool movie.

^Let Me In was pretty good though the original Swedish version is better IMO. Have you seen it? The American version was pretty much a shot-for-shot remake with only a handful of changes (including the totally unnecessary Tarantino-end-at-the-beginning-thing) but I still recommend watching Let The Right One In.

I would hope the Swedish version is better since I didn't like Let Me In at all. I don't understand the fascination with vampires, werewolves, or zombies. I find them all to be boring, which is strange because I do like horror movies.
So, for my latest bad movie choice, I tried Suburbicon. What was I thinking?

I just watched that earlier this week myself. I didn't completely hate it (it was at least somewhat interesting), but I could have easily thought of a few dozen other things I could have spent that two hours on.

Infinity War. Sad to say I didn't particularly enjoy it, but I'm a Marvel neophyte.

If you are truly a beginner, then you will need to watch all the other Marvel films featuring Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Capt. America, and Guardians of the Galaxy. They are all tied together. This has been the story that Marvel Studios wanted to tell, and all of the other movies lead to this moment while telling their own story as well.
