Mad Max 2 AKA The Road Warrior

This movie could have easily have incorporated the original 1979 movie to
tell why he goes "mad".
The Road Warrior has much more of an apocalyptic
feel.

Tomb Raider

was a really good movie, enjoyed it's action and characters, was probably the best video game movie I have ever seen

It wasn't ground breaking but was a solid movie nonetheless

Well, there's not alot of competition when it comes to video game to movie quality.  Super Mario Bros.?  Resident Evil? Warcraft?  Silent Hill? House of the Dead? Bloodrayne? *insert Uwe Boll movie here* Prince of Persia? Mortal Kombat? Street Fighter? Double Dragon? etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc

Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle

Was solid, pretty funny and enjoyed all of the cast, plot had some surprisingly touching moments

Pacific Rim Uprising

Lacked the charm of the first but was an entertaining block-buster none the less

The first Mortal Kombat film is a fun, solid film. The less said about the sequel, the better.

Definitely different than the original. Very enjoyable. For those paying close attention, there was an easter egg nod towards Robin Williams.

God's Not Dead:  A Light In The Darkness

This was a different type of movie than the previous films.  While this one definitely talks about standing up for our faith, it also leans more towards making the love of Christ real through living sacrificially.  Instead of fighting for our rights, perhaps we should lay down our lives first.  I won't say more lest I give away everything about the film.  If you have seen the other two, I would highly recommend this!

Saw a special screening of Tommy Weiseau’s movie The Room. If you’re not familiar The Room is billed as “The Best Worst Movie Ever Made.”  You go to it and it’s total audience participation much like Rocky Horror. People bring plastic spoons and any scene in the apartment where you see these pictures with stock photos of spoons, everyone yells out “SPOONS!!!” Then you throw your plastic spoons at the screen.

Maybe I am just too old to understand, but that sounds like a horrible experience.  Add to this the misery you are adding to the theater staff that has to clean up all those spoons.  I think I will pass.

I agree that The Room isn’t for everybody. I saw it at this small theater where they play cult films and old classics. The staff actually encouraged the spoons throwing and they even provided the spoons. It was funny because I went with my brother and he asked me if this movie was made to be intentionally bad.

^Let Me In was pretty good though the original Swedish version is better IMO.  Have you seen it?  The American version was pretty much a shot-for-shot remake with only a handful of changes (including the totally unnecessary Tarantino-end-at-the-beginning-thing) but I still recommend watching Let The Right One In.

I would hope the Swedish version is better since I didn't like Let Me In at all. I don't understand the fascination with vampires, werewolves, or zombies. I find them all to be boring, which is strange because I do like horror movies.

So, for my latest bad movie choice, I tried Suburbicon. What was I thinking?

I just watched that earlier this week myself.  I didn't completely hate it (it was at least somewhat interesting), but I could have easily thought of a few dozen other things I could have spent that two hours on.

If you are truly a beginner, then you will need to watch all the other Marvel films featuring Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Capt. America, and Guardians of the Galaxy.  They are all tied together.  This has been the story that Marvel Studios wanted to tell, and all of the other movies lead to this moment while telling their own story as well.
