Are you crankin' christian music on your job?

I've been working as an police officer in Stockholm, Sweden for about 8 years now, and I like to play christian metal in the gym and in my police car.

When I was new on the job I played my music for about 3 months and a collegue of mine came up to me and said that he liked the music I played. He started name dropping some of his favourite bands he listened to. All of the bands he named were christian bands. So I had to ask him if he himself were a christian and he said yes. So now I have a brother (and a musical brother) at my police station.   And the weirdest thing is that he is like my soul mate when it comes to musical taste.

And we also like to set the standard for heavy (christian) music in the gym. Do you guys do the same?

I work in an office that accepts walk-in customers as well so unfortunately I don't get to listen to music at work. It's very cool you found a fellow Christian metalhead though! I'm glad for you! :-D

I spend 75% of my day loading and unloading in a warehouse.  Now and then I get the opportunity to play some music on the system.  A couple of days ago I had "Colours" by Resurrection Band cranking through the warehouse, which was pretty cool.   They don't like it 'too' heavy out there.

I work a desk job, so in the background I can play music (with headphones)

I work for an IT company and my department is isolated into a separate room, so we setup a PC as a media center and all of us copy our own music to it, then we load up windows media player each morning and set it to shuffle the whole library. So we have a massive variety now. A mix of secular stuff like Killswitch, Evergrey, even Bjork, and I've put a good mix of Christian stuff ranging from Crimson Moonlight, to Theocracy to Matthew Parker.

We even have the pc hooked up to a 42 inch monitor for our security cameras, so we can see the album art for whats playing. Its pretty nifty. We keep it going all day, we just turn it down a bit when we are on the phones.

I wish my IT dept had a setup like that I dont generally crank music but sometimes ill play it quietly in the background but when I do its normally Pink Floyd

I work at home so I can listen music as much as I want.

I work at a school with special needs kids.  I have one girl who is terrified of loud music of any style.  So, we just don't play a lot of anything in our classroom.

I work out of two offices.  In one sometimes I can depending on who else is in the room.  In there are too many people so I can't.

The police car is my office so when I ride shotgun I'm the boss over the radio/musicplayer. Or when I ride with a collegue that haven't worked as long as I have, because then I'm the foreman and I still call the shots.

There are days where I wish I was still on picking up the phones at my job. I wanted to bad to move up and off incoming calls, now that I'm at the "highest tech level" at job with the nature of the tickets I get to work on I'm like "eeeeh, I wanna go baaaack" haha

I'm the owner of my business and when I'm working at my warehouse with my team there I play whatever I want.  Mostly metal because we work at a fast pace for 11 hours.  I listen to a lot of non-christian bands but I sprinkle in Christian ones.  There's only one other guy who's a Christian there, but the other 6 guys don't notice or don't care as long as it's heavy!

Today I had Pantokrator, Impending Doom, and Embodyment in the mix along with Exodus, Death, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Anaal Nathrakh, and a bunch more....

I work for a processing/call center place. I am contracted with a large US conglomerate company that has business categories in areas like wind, oil and gas energy,  health care, international ventures in foreign countries, transportation, aviation/aircraft engines, infrastrucure, etc. We deal with 250,000 employees all over the world in the complete life cycle of their career such as new hires/rehires, active employees, pensioners, laid off employees, etc for their payroll, benefits and  pension needs.  We receive calls, emails, chats and reports from everyone like the average plant worker to hr managers to professionals to upper management to CEOs. The work environment can be a roller coaster and can be slow one minute and fast pace the next. I deal with monthly reports for employee benefits and how it impacts payroll. So there isn't alot of time to listen to music or the work involves some concentration of balancing the accounts. Also, where we deal with sensitive info cell phones and devices that have music are not allowed but they use to be. When devices were allowed on the floor I would listen to music on my iPhone I used to have. Sometimes listening to music helps you to concentrate by tuning out the distractions around you.

I have an office job and my own office with a door, so I listen to music all day long. Sometimes Christian, sometimes not.
