I just saw the latest Mad Max last week, wow, just wow!!!

Today, I just rented Taken 3. Just as good as the other 2.

To be fair the original was an indie film funded by dentists, whilst the 2nd is a studio product, not a big budget, but still studio.

I just watched the latest Ape movie. I've seen them all since the 60's and having a certain nostalgic fondness for the Charleston Heston era monkey movies.

Temple Of Doom is almost unwatchable to me these days. It is actually a prequel to Raiders. The woman who was Indy's love interest in that one just screams all the way through the movie. Shortround, the little oriental kid, was just annoying. What could have been a killer story is ruined by those two elements. Raiders and Last Crusade are amazing! If not for the "nuking the fridge" and the aliens at the end, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull would have been equally amazing for me.

But, with these movies, Lucas wanted to make an A list movie but make them feel like B films. So, with that in mind, all of these work. Some work better than others, though.
