I don't willingly play Christmas music until Thanksgiving Day.  I get so burned out on it if I do it earlier.  Besides, for the most part, artists only record the same 8-10 classics over and over and over and over.  I am ready for some new Christmas songs.

When I do start playing it, I'll be spinning"

Apologetix:  Handheld Messiah
Third Day: Chriustmas Offerings
The Brian Setzer Orchestra
Power Ballads Christmas
Several albums by Northern Lights Orchestra
We Wish You A Metal Christmas
Twisted Sister Christmas
Rock Power Praise:  Christmas
The Chipmunks
Some Bing Crosby
Casting Crowns
Soundtrack to The Santa Clause 2
John Schlitt's Christmas album
And a sleigh full of others

You're on Metal Blessing Radio's compilation, Repossession: A Christmas Album, though I assume you knew that?  It's a good'un!

I don't know where to put this so I'll put it here...

My daughter: "Who do you like better Olaf or Frosty?"
Me: "Olaf, because Frosty got into a fight with Rudolph."

No, she didn't get it.  Yes, I am a nerd.

For me, I think it started with Savatage's "Gutter Ballet". It had a symphonic sound without being overdone. When they did their version of "Carol of the Bells", it added a "cool" factor to Christmas music, which I had pretty much seen as a beating. Savatage morphs into TSO and I  followed along. That's how I got there. Maybe you just need a good dose of Gutter Ballet.  Laughing
