According to Spotify, POD is way bigger, as they have over 3 million listeners and Stryper has around 300,000, but as Stryper is an older band they'll have way more fans that don't use Spotify.

Same thing with Petra. The reason I say that about P.O.D is two of their albums were in the top 30 nu metal albums ever on a secular music website. Everyone knows, Alive, Youth of The Nation, Boom, Southtown.

I'm not a huge fan of Nu metal. 

But Korn's first album is a piece of art. Clown is such a good heavy tune and Video to boot. The expression of hate and pent up anger positively explodes from the speakers and seeps into your pores. Daddy has such a great groove but it's not a song I listen to often, it's so depressing to listen to even though it's unequivocally the bravest song ever written.

Korn, especially the first album, is the definition of not holding ANYTHING back when it comes to expressing your pain. Jonathan is a very wounded man and he puts all of that in his music. That is a great album for sure. And yeah, Daddy is a great song but very hard to listen to at times.

yeah after that album they became quite repetitive and stuck to a formula and started adding all this Skrillex and weird dance stuff mixed with hip and rap.

Overall, Disturbed is the best band on here and its even questionable if you can call them nu-metal.  They at least transcend the genre and include quite a few tasty guitar solos.  Fundamental Elements was that right album at the right time however, so I chose that one.

As good and popular as Satellite is, I’ve always maintained Southtown was slightly better.
