Favorite Star Trek TOS season

I know the popular choice would be S1, but I'm going with S2. Mirror, Mirror and Return to Tomorrow are my two favorite episodes, and many "weak" S2 outings (The Apple, Friday's Child, A Private Little War, etc.) I find very underrated.

I almost didn't want to take the time to put it on, as who would choose it... I like S3 more than most, but it's clearly inferior to the first 2

It has some decent episodes and good ideas, but it’s definitely a huge drop off from the first 2 seasons. It’s still better than season 1 of TNG, though.

I actually prefer TNG S1, but TOS S3 has way higher highs. It has "And The Children Shall Lead" and "All Our Yesterdays" in the same season lol. TNG S1 is consistently alright. My fav episode from it is Conspiracy, which doesn't get close to the best episodes of TOS S3, but while my least fav from TNG S1, Justice, is worse than any TOS S3 episode aside from AtCSL, TOS has more episodes that I don't care to rewatch. I might put TOS S3 higher than TNG S1 after I eventually rescore TOS, as I feel I scored many episodes of that show too low.

Star Wars vs Star Trek is like Metallica vs Megadeth... Both are great in both cases, why can't the fans see that?

(For the record I do prefer Star Wars; However I find Trek much more interesting to talk about?)

I prefer Trek, but I like both.

It’s honestly more like comparing Malevolent Creation to Dokken. Both great, but both very different.

One thing both franchises have in common:

Neither should’ve let JJ “Lens Flares” Abrams anywhere near them.
