Exodus. Both have crappy lyrics but Slayer is mostly one dimensional sound wise.

I’m torn. I like Seasons in the Abyss better than any Exodus album, but Exodus probably has more albums in total that I enjoy.

Lyrically they’re both so frustrating. Both started off terrible lyrically, improved dramatically, then lapsed into total garbage, with one latter day exception each (World Painted Blood and Blood in Blood out).

I went with Slayer based on the strength of their first 6 albums.

Exodus has the superior guitar tone and had the better debut, though.
