Exodus or Overkill?

Which do you prefer? I'm going Overkill.

I like Exodus quite a bit too, though.

The new Overkill is the best thing they have released in more than a decade.  LOVE IT!

I don't hate Exodus, but honestly, I only regularly listen to Impact Is Imminent these days.

Exodus started off with an amazing debut album, but Overkill’s body of work is much better! Plus I like Bobby Blitz’s vocals a lot more than Zetro’s.

I voted Overkill, but I really like the music on the first 2 Exodus albums! Pleasures of the Flesh is very underrated. Chemi-Kill!

What are y’all’s thoughts about the Dukes Exodus albums? I’ve only heard Shovel Headed Kill Machine and, other than some pathetic lyrics, it’s a smoking thrash monster.

What you said, great music but stupid lyrics.

If you'd asked this based only on the debut albums, I'd say Exodus by a mile.

Decades later, Overkill has produced more good material than Exodus.

Musically, its among the heaviest, thrashiest stuff Exodus has ever done.  The lyrics in some places...not all, but some...are just plain stupid and sophomoric.

Agreed! My sentiments exactly!

I've been playing, at his request, Exodus and Overkill for a patient for the past two weeks.  On Friday I told him I wanted to play a song for him, Overkill by Motorhead.......He got a kick out of that.  ....and, he said enjoyed the song....

Exodus by far! Not a fan of Overkill except a few albums from the early days. Plus meeting Overkill when my band played with them ruined me liking them at all.

That stinks, I've had experiences like that too.  But I've also had some good experiences meeting bands or band members (Neon Cross, Agent Steel, Chastain and Hittman were the best ones).

Chastain is underrated, nice to hear he's a chill dude.
