Re: The best instrumental metal
To be honest, I just don't care for instrumental music. Oh, there are some wonderfully talented people doing that. I just don't seem to be drawn to this style of metal at all. I've bought albums in the past by Tony Palocious, Jeff Scheetz, and even Joe Satriani in my early days. I would listen a time or too and then just not revisit them. It would be years before I would listen again and then nothing really jumped out at me.
I may be too set in my ways. Now get off my lawn, you young whippersnappers!!!

I’m not just saying this because of Roger’s vocals, but Vengeance Rising has some great instrumental tracks. Ascension and Out of Bounds rock me. (Help Me is great too, but I’m not sure it’s technically an instrumental).

I'd classify Help me as an instrumental. The help me's just add to the sentiment of the instrumental and overall despairing atmosphere.Pethead wrote:I’m not just saying this because of Roger’s vocals, but Vengeance Rising has some great instrumental tracks. Re: The best instrumental metal
Endless Funeral did a couple instrumentals that I used to listen to all the time. I think one was "On My Knees Again" or "A Second Beginning". Maybe one of those is the song and one the album...
