Best Christian band nobody knows about? Empty Best Christian band nobody knows about?

I don’t just mean really niche bands that are somewhat known in this niche community (like Epta Astera), but bands that are virtually completely unknown. My choice would be Dividing Line, a gothic rock (?) band with only 3 monthly listeners on Spotify including me. The sound reminds me a bit of a lighter version of Saviour Machine, and I actually like them a bit better than Savior Machine (and that’s saying a lot).

There are a few fans around these parts, but Evans and Stokes deserve way more love.

From this year, Plague of the Ungodly and Last Times come to mind. Both were pointed out to me by mothy and they’re excellent.

A few that come to mind:

Gatekeeper's Sword
This was (is?) a solo project by a member here YEARS ago.  He released a three-track EP that was basically one song with an intro and outro.  It's fairly simplistic black metal, but well done.

Pilgrimage
Black metal from Slovakia.  Pretty raw stuff and impossible to find anything of theirs except one album you can download.

Postilion
Heavy metal from the guy from Czech epic doom metal band Trinity.  They only released a few demo songs but they're pretty good.  Available to download for free from Bard's website.

Részletkérdés
Progressive rock with a metal edge from Hungary.

Temporary Sufferings
doom/death from Ukraine.  It appears they only ever released a single plus a live video and audio from a festival.  Both are available to download from a blog somewhere.

Nick Leonard  (?  Not totally sure of his faith but the "Revelation" album was very Biblical)

I don't know about "nobody knows," but I find some one album wonders to be absolute awesome but with little buzz: Messiah, Emerald, and Schaliach come to mind. Their one album is about as good as the best of the most well known comparable bands. People around here do know them, though.

I would probably say the band Kerrick suggested to me a year or so back when I asked for gothic metal: My Darkest Time from Macedonia. It's a one-man project with guest singers, and sounds kinda like early The Third and the Mortal or the Gathering, but way more obscure. A few thousand views tops on any song. Their albums are really cheap on Bandcamp, so an all around great find.

Sarepta were great.  Sad they only did one album and a single.  Could have done a lot of brilliant stuff. 

I love Deth Enemy too (although I remember a few were not being so keen).  Their first album got 90% on Angelic Warlord. They are working on a follow up to that album.  C.O.D. was one of my favourite songs of the year.

^Yes, great choice with Deth Enemy! I really liked that 1st album. I got in touch with the producer to try to distribute it here in America, but he wanted too much for CD copies. I gave him some other distro options but I don't know if he ever followed up.

Yes well...the fact that they are overseas didn't help.  They had some great merch but it wasn't easy to get shipped here.  I wanted to bring some of it over here to the U.S. in bulk but again, the cost was prohibitive and I couldn't get any commitments from potential buyers.  So that fell by the wayside.

I just went to YouTube.  If the lady vocalist was all I heard, they would have been amazing.  The death vocals totally ruined it for me.
