Because why not?

Hate the cover, but love the music.

Going with Flowering Cadaver, but most of the second half could also take the spot depending on my mood. I also think the two Aaron songs here are the best he contributed to TQT.

Sadly, people who know I’m a huge TQT fan have given me mugs with the AB art. It does have the StB art on the other side, so that’s the side I display.

I voted for the title track because I think it may be the only Tourniquet song I've ever heard haha. (IIRC it was on Through The Dark or Dead To Self online radio.)

For the record, I thought it was a pretty cool track. But between TQT being [primarily] thrash, the tasteless album cover, and Ted's animal-rights antics... I just never felt the need to dig any deeper into the band.

Now where's the self-ban button...? I know it's around here somewhere...

Yeah I saw a while back that they released a compilation of all their doom songs. That's pretty cool. Eh maybe if I get starved enough for Christian doooom, I'll check it out.

I should dig up some of the old threads here where Ted got into it with folks about animal rights. Many a thread were locked! But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't entertaining.

To be fair, most of their catalogue has very scarce references to animal rights. Some of their albums don’t even mention it. And when they do it’s unobjectionable to me (e.g. Ark of Suffering). It wasn’t really until Antiseptic Bloodbath and Onward to Freedom—which isn’t technically a TQT album—that it became what I would consider heavy-handed. And then Ted toned it down again for Gazing at Medusa. To be honest, TQT tends to have some of the best lyrics in Christian metal.

PS: I went with "Lost language of the Andamans" but I think (music- and mostly) guitar-wise this album is one of their weakest.

I also find the guitar work on this album less compelling than usual. The riffs don’t grab me as much.

The title track is the best. I consider it a Tourniquet classic.

The album doesn't have a single weak song. My least favorite probably is Chamunda Temple Stampede.

Aaron's tracks Duplicitous Endeavor and Carried Away on Uncertain Wings are definitely his best songs he's made for Tourniquet.

I think Luke's vocals in this album are his best since Vanishing Lessons.

The part starting at 2:40 in Flowering Cadaver is a fantastic example of what Tourniquet is at their best, and the following part of Luke's vocals is probably my favorite Luke vocal section ever.

The songs I mostly come back to are Chart of the Elements, Antiseptic Bloodbath, Flowering Cadaver and Lost Language of the Andamans, but Antiseptic Bloodbath is the one I come back to most often.

Antispectic Bloodbath. Although I don't like this album enough to probably have a favourite, and I haven't listened to it enough to know which songs really shine.

Another one of my fav albums by the band; in some way, I think this one has elements of all the Tourniquet records, and the classic sound is again pretty evident.
