I listened today on the way into work and what can I say. Its Wytch Hazel. To me that means high quality 70's Hard Rock\Metal with bold Christian lyrics. Everytime I think they have peaked they release an album that out does the previous. This one is no different, catchy riffs, a good ballad or 2 and bold lyrics.

If I could win the lottery I would make sure Colin could do nothing but make music and albums all day!

Got my vinyl today!

I have already streamed it all the way through a few times.....
Favorite tracks are Angel of Light (single that got me hooked), Time and Doubt, and Endless Battle

Such a great album all the way through, gonna be a contender for album of the year for sure

This is a great album, although at this point I find it tapers off a bit in the back half, although that might be because the first half is so strong. But that opinion may change over time.

I think your right. Not sure where I'd rank this in their catalog but Sojourn is still tops.

I started listening to Sojourn a few weeks back but it didn't do much for me. At some point it became background noise. I'm not giving up that easily though.

I love the new album straight through. I find no dip in quality but having the interlude "Gold Light" in the second half does "slow it down."

For me, Sojourn sounds the most like Thin Lizzy so that is part of the reason.

I'll have to bust it out again. I was really disappointed with it. I missed the great guitar solos from Prelude and it made it sound more like Chinatown or Renegade style Thin Lizzy where the style was still there with some really great tracks but missing the fiery guitar work. I thought Pentecost brought the energy back and increased the songwriting. I'm definitely excited to go back and listen now.

It really is a very good album.

For whatever reason, my wife thinks it sounds like he's singing "come see my ~~demons~~ femurs" hahaha.

I'm also of the mind that Sojourn is the weakest while still being a good album. I'm not sure where I'd fit Sacrament in, but it's great.

I'd love to know the origin of the name. I haven't bought any merch for that reason. Just a negative association.

Witch-Hazel is a type of plant. But I don’t know why they went with that name for the band.
