Jeff Beck passed.

Man, so many I grew up with are moving on, getting old kinda sucks. Going to listen to People Get Ready with him and Rod Stewart.

I didn't follow Jeff Beck too closely but the "Truth" album was my favorite of his, with Rod Stewart.  
I remember him getting talked about a lot when "Blow By Blow" and then "Wired" were released.   
He got a lot of radio play back then.  After that, the publicity seemed to die down.

I agree that getting old is rough.  I no longer take earthly life for granted after witnessing so much death and coming close a few times.  I thank God every morning for waking me up and often wonder when my own number will be up.  I feel the passing of time so acutely that it often threatens to take away my enjoyment of life.  But at the same time, paradoxically, I am also able to enjoy the little moments more these days then I used to be.  Probably because they are more precious.

I do look forward to the day when Jesus comes back though, and the old order of things completely changes.
