Favorite Rob Rock solo album?
A great singer who has great taste in music—hence, the ABBA covers.
Eyes of Eternity was the first one I heard and is still my favorite. Holy Hell is right behind it.
Your turn!

Garden of Chaos is my pick, but the only other one I know is Holy Hell, which is a very close second. I still need to check out the first two.

1. Holy Hell
2. Garden of Chaos
3. Rage of Creation
4. Eyes of Eternity (this one I don’t like much)

They are all very good, but Holy Hell is insane.
Holy Hell (hey I'm a late adopter to tech) was my reintroduction to Christian metal on 2005.
All my stuff prior was from the 80s and 90s.

To make some justice, once I saw Rob Rock in an interview that he didn't care about ABBA. He only did it as Roy Z Recommended him to do so in order to help him gain more popularity.Pethead wrote:A great singer who has great taste in music—hence, the ABBA covers.

I am not sure if it was a good decision.

His albums are pretty good but sometimes it almost feels like a small chore to listen to them. Except for Garden of Chaos, that one rocks.

Holy Hell easily. My favorite album he's on is the one with Warrior, Code of Life.

For me, nothing beats the song "Slayer of Souls" from Rob.

And Holy Hell is his best, even though it has two skip songs on it.

Holy Hell reminds me of Painkiller. Over the top heavy metal bordering on speed metal.

I went with Holy Hell, but all 4 of those albums are simply fantastic. I wish he would release another solo album.

Re: Favorite Rob Rock solo album?
Garden of Chaos for me.
I jumped on board with the debut and loved it. Eyes of Eternity was a great follow up. When Holy Hell came out it got talked up huge but, though heavier, I didn't like it better. Garden of Chaos put Holy Hell and Rage of Creation together for me.
I love Impellitteri and prefer it Rob's other work but I love the solo stuff and Driver "Sons of Thunder." I wish he were somehow doing both.

^Funny, I'm having a hard time deciding but right now it's a three-way tie between the others for the #1 spot, with Garden Of Chaos being definitively last place! (I still really like GOC, but just the other three significantly more.)

I went with Holy Hell. I have the Korean import with the few bonus tracks and the 10 song version. I like most of Rob Rock's work that he is a part of or is a guest musician/vocalist. I have the 5 solo albums Angelic debut, both Driver albums and the demos, Joshua Intense Defense on CD and vinyl, Impellitteri and Fires of Babylon. The only one I don't like is Fires of Babylon. I will likely sell that one. There are only a few songs I like on that one but I like the art work.

Re: Favorite Rob Rock solo album?
I voted "Holy Hell" but I love "Garden Of Chaos" almost as much.
Years ago I burned a cd that starts with track 1 from HH, then track 1 from GOC, then so on.....(Minus a few ballads that I am not fond of ) so, I would have to say that That CD is my fave RR!

This thread reminds me of why I started this thread:

Rob Rock is simply one of the greatest and most prolific vocalists ever.
