For a guy that is always advertising and trying to sell merch, Ted may have shot himself in the foot. A band of Tourniquet’s size should want to keep as many fans as possible.

He hasn't written a good song in 20 years.  His music is just as confused as he is.

I kind of thought it had a dinosaur element to it, and I like it 

I also thought the song "Gazing At Medusa" was incredible.

Again, I just wish these public figures would shut up about their politics.
They're not going to convince me of anything, they're either going to speak my language, or they're just going to turn me off

If I only listened to artists I always agree with, especially in their personal views, my collection would be very small indeed.

There's a major difference between disagreeing with an artist, and said artist being an utter dbag who fancies himself morally superior to everyone else.  IMO, that line has been painfully crossed.

There are a lot of artists out there who need personality overhauls. But you need to follow your convictions on the matter.

It's just a major turn off.

I'll always respect Ted's skill and abilities and he's usually extremely mature but his post really bugged me

Ted is taking Tourniquet too far away from what I loved about them. Yes, I do like doom... but not as the new format. And the vocalist situation is frustrating. I like Ripper, but I do think he is right for them. He’s a hired gun and that’s how he comes across. He has no attachment to the band.

It’s a shame... because I do enjoy Ted’s drumming. I just wish he would keep his political views to himself. When you have fans, it’s not a good idea to insult or isolate people. The fact that he blamed the patriots shows me that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Those people were mostly from fringe groups and some clowns looking for a photo-op.

Me too.  And given what Gary has recently said on his website (about Jesus), I'm getting more and more exicted to hear the album come together.

Yes! It would be awesome and surreal to hear both Guy and Luke together. And Gary is a great guitarist. He knows how to write catchy riffs.

I know for sure that I won’t ever get rid of my classic Tourniquet albums with the classic lineup (and the Luke albums I have). 

I’m just growing very weary with the direction Ted is going and his attitude. You can’t write songs about loving others and then insult and attack people on Facebook or Twitter.

I disagree with Ted too and have zero interest in ever buying anything from him for many of the same reasons posted above, but calling fellow Christians "dbags" isn't called for.  Again, "being respectful" is one of the very few rules we have here...  Please keep it respectful - both to fellow members and others.
