Anxiety and Depression

Just returned from my appointment.  The doctor is doubling up one of my medications and had bloodwork done.  Plan on taking the rest of the week off to rest, with vacation starting next Tuesday.

Feeling a bit better in this yo-yo life.  I'll take it.  Thanks, Lord! 

Asking for prayer for some test results, ones from recent bloodwork.  One number needs to be higher, and the other lower.  Thanks.

I need help. Depressed and anxious regarding my Covid diagnosis . The isolation amplifies everything.

I understand.  I went through quite a bit having to do this whole isolation stuff TWICE.

My wife thought she had a sinus infection and went to her Dr. in October.  They tested her and she supposedly had the virus.  Her symptoms were gone the next day.  She was allowed to work from home for two weeks and then they fired her for coming to work with 2 or more symptoms.  While she had to stay home for 14 days, I had to stay home for 24 days as per the CDC guidelines at the time.  I got pretty depressed during that time, too.

Then, in January, I had the virus.  I had the lost of smell, sinus issues, fever, and severe fatigue.  I had symptoms for about 4 days but had to be at home for 10 as per newer CDC guidelines.

Trust me--it gets old quickly.

I personally believe we would be better off had we left everything open and allowed ourselves to build up immunity.  Yes, we had a lot of elderly dying, but you can trace most of that to being kept in nursing homes without proper care and ventilation.  This wasn't just in New York--even here in Tennessee we did the same thing.  We even housed some COVID patients in nursing homes despite not being residents.  Most of us who get this recovered without any medicine whatsoever.  Some had worse cases, but the flu and pneumonia are exactly the same way.  All are rough on the elderly.

That's my two cents.  If you have that and an additional $5, you might can get a cup of coffee at Starbucks or some other trippy-dippy hippie coffee house. LOL

Yesterday, I saw the hand of God move so strongly in my life, when, upon returning from all-day testing, I returned home and bawled my eyes out.

When I pray it works. You will be beyond fine.

I could use prayer for my financial situation.  My Covid hospital bill just arrived, and my back pay issue with the Leave of Absence (LOA) people is in disarray.  Really stressing, and I don't want to be.  I just want to be a faithful follower of Christ, and sometimes it's just so hard.

Update: my back pay situation is resolved and things are looking up.

I had never read this thread, as it was started before I joined the CMR. So I read it this morning. I relate, and I'm still at the point where I tend to be angry at God for allowing you to go through all this. I have a strong Christian community and Christian family who bolster my faith and protect me from going completely off the rails. I'm encouraged by your faith, Brian, your humility in being willing to open up. I'm also encouraged by the prayer, support and empathy from our fellow Christian metalheads.

My Feminazi boss rejected my time off request for the procedure. Will have to go over her head. Please pray for divine favor with her manager.

How can they do that? Here in Washington they have to let you off for medical procedures. Praying for you.

I had to meet with her boss this morning. He said he'd take care of it. She's had it in for me the entire duration of her wicked reign.

That stinks your boss is like that, I'm hearing that a lot more lately from Christians.

Everything went well!

Great to hear.  How've you been doing overall?  Was there any lasting fallout after going to your boss' boss?

Surprisingly enough, my boss has been settling down somewhat and some days resembles a rational human being.

Very tired from the sedative they gave me, but that's expected...no driving, skydiving, or the like for the next 24 hours.
