Dominus Dominantium (symphonic black/death)
This is some epic sounding symphonic black/death from the Dominican Republic. Debut album released last week:

Apparently this will eventually be released on CD.

Super excited for this but I'm not into digital albums. I wonder how long it will be before it comes out? If it's a month or two, no problem. If it's Drottnar putting out digital eps and then a year and a half later putting it on CD, maybe I'll go digital.

I posted about this band back in January....got no responses.

Yeah I'm not sure how long it will take for this to release physically. Hopefully a label with pretty good distribution will pick it up.Frozen Fire wrote:Super excited for this but I'm not into digital albums. I wonder how long it will be before it comes out? This is very recommended such a beautiful album. A combination of Antestor/Vaakevandring Crimson Mooliight and a bit of Slechtvalk or something

Any news on when a physical release will be available? I'm itching to get a copy, this band sounds fantastic.

Re: Dominus Dominantium (symphonic black/death)
Ordered this from Vision of God last week and man is this fantastic!
Positives:
The songwriting is complex and beautiful (the female vocals being especially great). The symphonic elements are well done. The production is incredible in its clarity. That last element makes the vocals/lyrics discernible and every instrument has its space to stand out. The lyrics themselves are notably biblical being taken from Revelation. This is an extremely high end symphonic black metal release. It's 9 tracks with three instrumental tracks but it is still 46 minutes long. If this came out in the Symphonic Metal explosion in the late 90's this would be a legendary release.
Down sides:
The narration is over the top but not overbearing as to ruin a song. Would have loved it if it were either done a better or cut completely. It's in most songs. The booklet is giant, 16 pages, but has no lyrics but rather and individual photo for each member and their thanks list for all 7 members. Thankfully lyrics are found online. You can hear them but I buy physical releases to have lyrics in hand. I don't actually play the CDs.
