Disciple "Love Letter Kill Shot"
Anybody else pick this up?
Preordered this but the physical copy hasn't come yet. Listening to the digital download till that arrives. Pretty solid album! Continues in the vein of the last two. More guitar solos again than the last album and a little more experimentation. A mix of all their best characteristics with some tracks that go back to Southern Hospitality and Scars Remain (groove, aggression, some of the psuedo rapped vocals) but a lot of the riffy rock that was on Long Live The Rebels. The radio friendly songs are OK, nothing that truly stands out. Some outstanding rockers though! The first 4 songs are outstanding and then a run in the middle from track 7-9 are excellent as well. I wouldn't say there are any bad songs.
Definitely become a much bigger fan of the band as time has gone on. I'll be sad to see Andrew Stanton leave. His guitar playing and style has added a lot to what I like about the band currently. I'm hoping they can keep this up in the future.

I hope mine arrives today. Amazon didn't offer the downloads with the CD. Bummer.....
Re: Disciple "Love Letter Kill Shot"
On first listen, I hear a lot more guitar solos. Awesome!
The bass could be higher in the mix, but they don't have a bassist live. The CD says that Josiah Prince handled the bass in the studio.
Other than that, this may be one of the best albums they've done.

I've listened to a few songs and it does sound pretty good, appreciate the guitar solos for sure.
