Christian versions of Powerwolf and Manowar
So I was listening to my Pandora power metal station, and I kept hearing stuff by Powerwolf. Their whole schtick is imagining a church made up of vampires and werewolves. I am not fond of the lyrics, but the style rocks. Is there a band that does the church organ with metal thing for an actual Christian purpose?
Also, the more I hear Manowar, the more it seems like Norse religious metal. A lot of it's songs sound like prayers to Odin - does anyone use a similar style addressed to God?

Well they're not power metal, but Nomad Son is darn good and has that church organ you're looking for (in the first album, the next two use keyboards that sound like an organ).
You might also like Kreyson. You can find the English versions of their first two albums relatively easily though I prefer hearing them sing in Czech.

If you find that band that sounds like Powerwolf, let me know.

Wow, that Nomad Son is great.... may pick these up at some point. Not a massive fan of Doom but it has traditional Metal mixed in to.

For Manowar, these are the most similar releases in style that I know:
Sovereign Steel - Say Your Prayers
Stryken - First Strike
Cross - Metal from Above
Rebellion - And the Battle Begins
Kryst the Conqueror - Deliver Us From Evil
True Strength - The Mighty Hand of Yahweh
I don't know anything about Powerwolf. Never heard them.
