About the CMR Steam group

I was browsing through groups on the Steam app (ironically looking for a Christian metal group) and I was extremely surprised to run across the Christian Metal Realm's Steam group (The gaming one). . . I never would have guessed. Unfortunately, it hasn't been active sense 2012 which is very disappointing. I was just wandering, who actually created this Steam group? And does anyone still remember it after all this time?

IKR. I don't know why no one heard of it before now, and also why it became so inactive so quickly, with only three members. Also, they said something about the CMR website being hacked in 2012?

I knew about this a few years ago, requested to join and saw that everyone was inactive, never thought to ask about who the people in the group actually were

The old forum WAS hacked.  This forum was built because the original Forumotion site was hacked and all of us locked out.  But, it was rebuilt and has run pretty smooth ever since.

Yeah that was me. It was created back in the day when the original forum was hacked in an effort to keep a number of us who were on Steam in contact. It was also a way to keep of people informed on the status of the new forum, on which I currently type. 

Some people dropped out, and obviously we haven't really done much with it since. Honestly, although most of us are still friends on the service itself, many of us were/are just playing a number of disparate games and haven't utilized the group itself since a year or so after its inception. Fun stuff while it was running, though. Great people too.

Also doesn't help that I'm usually on Overwatch now instead of on Steam

I must say that I requested to be a part of the group over a year ago, and my membership is still awaiting approval

Just looked and saw the old requests (there were a couple), though I don't think they're active now... for obvious reasons of time lapse  

Don't remember seeing them when they happened either; no notification. Weird. I mean, if any of y'all wanna join now I'd add ya to the group. But again, note that most of the original members have long since left, or aren't much on steam anymore... though I'm not sure how big an impact that would be now I suppose. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
