Re: Favorite Christian Metal Ballads
Well, I would say, that there are some bands that are awesome in ballads and like mostly all of their ballads. In this list, I would include Bloodgood, Guardian, Holy Soldier, REZ Band, among others.
There are too many to list, I will go with a few that I remember that weren't mentioned yet:
Sacred Warrior - He Died
Sacred Warrior - Prince of Peace
Shout - Waiting on You
Bloodgood - Changing me
Bloodgood - Crush Me
Guardian - Forever and a day
Rez - Paint a Picture
Rez - Afrikaans
Rez - Across these Fields
Joshua - Tears of Joy

Nice to see that there are at least a couple of Gloriam Dei fans here beside myself.
Here's my list
Gloria Dei - The Covenant
Theocracy - Bethlehem
Theocracy - Night of Silence
Disciple - After the World
Disciple - Savior
Disciple - Breaking Down
HB - Way
HB - Lovesong
Menahem - Ocean of Tears
Worldview - The Chosen Few
Mehida - Grace (my favorite)
And maybe LEAH - A Thousand Year. I THINK it's about God, but I'm not positive.

Re: Favorite Christian Metal Ballads
My favorite ballad is the one that comes on accidentally and then I have to hit the mute button. This mostly happens on Soldiers Under Command.
"Lady" is actually pretty good though and I didn't know "A World Alone" was considered a ballad.

Makes me think of my mom. My mom is still with me, but I dread the day that she won't be.

Re: Favorite Christian Metal Ballads
There are many good ones but my favorite would be "The Rain Of Your Love" by The Waymaker. It is just a gorgeous song.

As far as rock goes, Fire and Fury by Skillet is great, along with Lucy, Would it Matter, and Hard to Find.

Cool tune. But I don't know a lot of ballads that have a kickin' double bass throughout the song...Mr. Nice Guy wrote:MAGNITUDE NINE : Sands of time
Another kinda too heavy to be a ballad, but, true, great tune. One of the few songs that are heavier in the verses than the chorus. The verse is actually the heaviest part of the song.Hardcore Christian wrote:

One of my favorites that’s often forgotten is Precious Death’s “One Day to Live”.
