Favorite Christian Metal Ballads

I realized there has not been much discussion about ballads, and got to thinking about it based upon Guardian and Whitecross each doing one on the new split EP

Anyway, what are your favorite Christian Metal ballads?

I got to say, of the 80s variety

I love Holy Soldier's ballads on their self titled
(Not as much on Last Train)

To me the two tracks on there, do not sound dated like most 80s metal ballads

The Pain Inside Of Me and Eyes Of Innocence are both the pinnacle of the 80s power ballad to me

I would have to say The Pain Inside Of Me is in my top 3 favorite tracks on that album, and I love every single song on there

I agree Hardcore, HS were amazing. I also like "Your Love Gives" and "Heaven or Nothing" by Barren Cross. Also, check out "Forgotten" by TRIGGERSoul.

Not a big fan of ballads of any kind unless it's Journey or someone like that. But Christian Metal I'd have to say "He Reigns" by Saint

I think this is somewhat obscure. I really don't care for the rest of the record but "Why" by Scarlet Red is an amazing song replete with gospel...

I enjoy when Daniel Band slows it down like on My Children and I Give You All

Stryper's "Honestly" and Whitecross's "In the Kingdom" are my all time favourites. Also Gloriam Dei's "The Covenant" deserves to be mentioned here.

I think my favorite ballad would be Barren Cross - Let it Go, Let it Die.

Petra has many good ballads, but the best I think is Reach Out.  Not sure if Betlehem by Theocracy counts as a ballad but it's great!

Agreed, but I have a hard time listening to them due to emotional reasons. I used to play them for my girlfriend of several years in high school before we broke up. 

My personal favorites are from Tourniquet - "When the Love is Right", "If I Was There", and "My Promise".

Others:
Deliverance - Sanctuary (debatable whether it's a ballad or not. Close enough for me.)
Stryper - Honestly
Fear Not - Til the End of My Days
Guardian - See You in Heaven
Bride - Goodbye
Whitecross - Behold 
Sacred Warrior - Unfailing Love

I don't like happy sounding ballads. They need to be musically really melancholic and played mostly in minor scales.

It's more like a power ballad I suppose or the Christian version of Pantera Cemetery Gates.
