Theocracy Christmas Songs, how can I find them?
Does anyone know how to get the Theocracy Christmas songs? I've heard they were available via their website, but i just went there and no dice. For that matter, how do I get their song "Skeletor Goes to Mars"?

They used to have them on Club of Souls, but I think something went wrong with that. Not sure where they are now.
Re: Theocracy Christmas Songs, how can I find them?
The tracks were:
Little Drummer Boy - 2005
Deck The Joy - 2006
O Come Emmanuel - 2007
Rudolf Vs. Frosty - 2008
Angels From the Realms of Glory - 2009
All I Want for Christmas - 2010
Wynter Fever - 2012
Christmas Medley - 2012
Not sure what the titles were after 2012, or if there were any.

Night of Silence was released in 2014. Mostly acoustic and on the softer side, but great a recording.
You can get Wynter Fever and All I Want For Christmas at Ulterium Records' Bandcamp page. Can't seem to find any others except on Youtube.

What, no love for the classic track "Skeletor Goes to Mars"? (I know it probably wasn't a "Christmas" track...but fun never-the-less)

It's just a goofy track that Matt came up with as far as I know. Fun listen. It used to be on YouTube, but now all I can find is someone doing a drum cover to it.

From an interview with Matt, posted on the Theocracy forum:
I'm guessing that if the record company wants to release them as part of an album, we can forget about seeing them for free again. I can certainly understand that, and will happily pay for such an album when (and if) it comes out, but at the same time I think it's a shame that people can't get them in the meantime. Especially since they were free for so many years.
We were walking out of rehearsal a couple of days ago and I said something about doing another Christmas song. I don't know, being gone most of November to Europe is going to be tough, but we are kicking ideas around... I have also wanted to do a covers EP for a while, so that might happen next. Maybe next year, not really sure - something like 5 songs. Also, the label wants us to compile all the Christmas stuff and officially release an album of all the songs so far. I would assume they would kind of be updated and remixed a little bit. People always ask for that, and I really don't know why because they are available for a free download. That's kind of the whole idea behind this, they are Christmas songs as a gift. I guess people want to have them all in one place, so we are talking about finally doing that next year. Those are the things we are juggling in the air at the moment. Maybe we will do a couple of new ones and release them on there?

Good news all around! I for one would pay for the free songs to get them on CD.
I hope the covers EP includes the Neal Morse song only available on Japanese editions of As the World Bleeds.

I have all 9 with the file text cleaned up, fully tagged with track number in order of release date, and Christmas themed Theocracy logo for album art. I'm willing to share if it is licit. What knowthink you all?

The US legal system is a bit whacky, but I can assure you that sending music files to one or a few persons via email is considered a private copy, at least in the European Union. And intellectual property law is very much internationally oriented, so...d@v!d wrote:I have all 9 with the file text cleaned up, fully tagged with track number in order of release date, and Christmas themed Theocracy logo for album art. I have them all by the way, so I don't need them

That's by far my favorite but it's not even on Youtube anymore. I just looked for it a few weeks ago. It wasn't there.

I still have all mine saved on my mp3 library. Wasn't Night of Silence the last Christmas song they released ? Two years ago ?

If any of you are friends with Matt Smith of Theocracy, perhaps you could convince him to release at least a digital EP containing all of those songs. Hey, it is worth a try.

Re: Theocracy Christmas Songs, how can I find them?
I read on their forum that the label may have taken them down, as they may be putting them on a CD to sell.
Re: Theocracy Christmas Songs, how can I find them?
^Smart move, I'd even like that.
Two songs can be found on the Ulterium bandcamp page; of course, you have to pay a dollar for them. Also Tales of Tales by Seventh Avenue is available there... it bugs me that they didn't release that as a CD.

Hey d@v!d,
I would love to get the Christmas songs if you are willing to share! I was late in discovering Theocracy. I bought Ghost Ship on a whim and I have been a fan ever since!
