New Leviticus box set out now!
The new box with all Leviticus cd ever released is out now. Apparently there is also a Dvd, but I don't know the content of it. Maybe it is the recording of Leviticus live at Bobfest. Please add info, if you know something.
For me, this is a certain purchase. Check their website:http://www.leviticus.nu

I ordered one of these from Christian Metal Distro...can't wait to get my hands on it! Their site said early April, but maybe it'll get here a bit sooner.
And, yeah, the DVD is the "Life at Bobfest 2003" from what I've read.

Re: New Leviticus box set out now!
I know that Boone's Overstock has these and mine has been shipped. Of course, there will be no mail tomorrow (Good Friday) and I can't get this now until Saturday. I also ordered all of the Bride Lost Reels remasters since they had them cheap.
Re: New Leviticus box set out now!
Good Friday and Easter are no longer recognized as holidays...There will be mail service and all federal offices and banks will be open regular hours...In our city they have school on good Friday and Easter Sunday is just like any other day...all the stores and restaurant's are open...Of course, there will be no mail tomorrow (Good Friday) and I can't get this now until Saturday.

Here, the banks, schools, and Post Office are generally closed on Good Friday. Always have been. I know that schools are closed. Yes, we are on spring break, but it is even a paid holiday for all full time support staff (like me). No students would be there even if it were not spring break.
Restaurants and stores are open but even that depends on who owns/runs them. I know of a couple of Chinese places in town that will close as they are Christians. They will shut down on Easter for church as well. Several of the Mexican places will close on Easter.

There ain't no other living like small town living. I like to visit the city and enjoy some of the culture and food from time to time, but give me small town America any day. You will still see people saying grace at a restaurant, still don't have to worry about traffic lights, stuff closes on religious holidays, and people open doors for you whether your hands are full or not. I have forgotten on many occasions to lock the door at night and never had to worry about it. Shoot--we went on vacation one time for several days and left the door unlocked and our stuff was all still here when we came back!
Oh, Leviticus; right!
My two favorites are the "Setting Fire To The Earth" and "Knights Of Heaven". These two are more commercial sounding than their first two. I can't wait to check out the remasters, though, and see if my recent personal remaster is as good or better for those two albums.
Re: New Leviticus box set out now!
Got my box set today!
But it seems like these are not remasters...there are a handful of remastered songs as bonus tracks on SFTTE and KOH, but I didn't see any indication that the rest of the discs had been remastered. For some reason I thought I remembered reading that these were all remastered, but maybe I made that up. I plan to give these a listen later and see if I can hear any difference.
Anyone else got theirs yet?

Re: New Leviticus box set out now!
I did check out the booklet, and it does say that all songs were remastered in 2016.
Re: New Leviticus box set out now!
As far as I am concerned, all of their albums were remastered.

Finances are a bit tight currently, but I will surely make an effort to buy this one on the next month.

Re: New Leviticus box set out now!
Finally picked this up. Never heard any of their stuff before actually. The prices for their albums kept me off picking any of these up and even this set was a little much. Found it for cheap online a few weeks ago though and snatched a copy.
A few thoughts:
The first two albums are amazing! The best tracks on these two CD's are some of the best classic metal! Frankly I'm shocked based on never hearing them even mentioned in all my years as a secular metal fan and hearing them as being divisive from CM fans since coming to faith. The vocals are fantastic! I have no idea why people don't like the vocals. These are perfect! The albums remind me of early Manowar in their simplicity with the impassioned, manly vocals and topics. I Shall Conquer reminds me of that great diversity you'd hear in early proto-metal albums getting those clearly metallic riffs mixed with softer sounds and more diverse influences. Great playing and great sound. I was cranking these from the first moment. So good!
Setting Fire To The Earth - tight, the singer is technically talented, and the album has a full sound but this feels more generic. I'll have to listen to this more to really get into it. For all the talk I'd seen of people talking about the first two being "dated" this album's production and Knights of Heaven are the ones that sound dated in that regard. The first two sound "classic." All that said, I think the passion in the vocals will win me over at last here. The feel is so different I'll get to this when I'm done playing out the first two.
Knights of Heaven - not liking this so much right now. There are indeed some fantastic songs here. The production is a little much in some ways. The Elefante thing is funny, you get the same keyboard lines and production tricks across different albums where the bands otherwise have nothing to do with each other. "Let's make Leviticus sound like Petra."
Glad this came out. So great to hear these. Hearing "Setting Fire..." is funny after seeing it in a cutout bin back in 95-96' and thinking it looked lame. I never forgot the boring album cover and odd name for the band. I would have loved it though. Here 20yrs later I finally hear it.

Funny--"Knights Of Heaven" and "Setting Fire To The Earth" are my favorites by Leviticus!
Re: New Leviticus box set out now!
The vocals and the bass work on Setting Fire to the Earth took Leviticus to another level. This album is sooo above all the others that make any comparison unfair in my opinion.
I still have some issues with the vocals on I Shall Conquer, but it looks like the vocals have improved for The Strongest Power album, which I found to be a great album, as well.
I also enjoy Knights of Heaven, though it is more commercial.
