Re: Currently reading?
I've been listening to a bunch of Amish murder mysteries. Really enjoying them. By Linda Castillo. Even though it's on an Amish backdrop, they are not for the faint of heart.

I haven't read any of these for over 20 years now, but I remember TPD being my favourite. Although his kids series was pretty enjoyable as well.

Re: Currently reading?
I can't find it, but somewhere in this thread I mention reading all of the Peretti books (except Prophet - I don't like that one).
The unique thing about Peretti is that his stories REQUIRE Christianity. Many Christian authors just write stories where the characters happen to be Christian, With Peretti, with the exception of Illusion, the stories don't make any sense without it.

Yeah, Cooper Kids was the first "big-kid" book series I read... still one of my favorites.Sevenoneself wrote:StevenCressler wrote:Slowly going through This Present Darkness right now.

I think I liked Piercing the Darkness just as much as the first one, so don’t miss it, either.

Yeah, I'm gonna read that one once I'm done with TPD. Then I'll probably read the Oath next. Before this I'd only read the Cooper Kids series and House.Pethead wrote:I think I liked Piercing the Darkness just as much as the first one, so don’t miss it, either.

Started this year with reading "The King of Elfland's Daughter" to my wife. I listened to it on audio last year. Really enjoyed it. It's from 1924.
