Two original instrumental songs

Here are two instrumental songs I have written recently over the last year. A little bit of thrash, black, and heavy metal.

Okay Shepherd, I'll get ya started.

Those were not bad. I know that instrumentals can be hard to write for a lot of people, but you seem to have a knack for it.

Thanks Shekkian. Instrumentals are hard to keep interesting and to not just sound like random ideas. I'll definitely keep posting my material. Again thanks for taking the time to listen.

The difficulty (it seems) is holding the melody found in the vocals of a normal song without having the instrument playing that part overwhelm the rest of the instumentation. Usually people who have played in orchestra or marching band stuff in school have a little heads up when it comes to composing instumentals as opposed to somebody jamming along with friends in the garage to their favorite bands.

Exactly. Also a good melody can tantalize the ears more with the right vocalist.

Wow. Powerful. I can see how with a bit more polishing, there would be room for a vocal melody especially in the second song. Keep up the great work.
