Well, I LOVE to watch the TV show, but I'm not obsessive enough with the characters and universe to actually be able to hold a discussion!  Great show, but I can barely keep the numbers straight with which Doctor is which.

I WILL say I am less thrilled with Capaldi than I was any of the previous 3 since the resumption of the series.  Just seems like the shows I've seen of his arc have been a little too much "watch Clara babysit a dementia patient", and not as much "fun".

I would SO love to see a seasons worth of companion-less "War Doctor" stories.  It's a shame John Hurt's age probably prevents this from happening.

I think its nice that the doctor didn't continue to get younger this time around. So far I really like Capaldi. Although I'm behind on the most recent series and I haven't watched the latest Christmas special

I myself really enjoy Capaldi's older more mentor like Doctor towards his companions, over Smith and Tennant's being romantic toward their companions.

Doctor Who is one of my favorite shows! 

I really like Peter Capaldi and I think this particular season has been the best since the Russel T. Davies era, maybe better. I didn't think there were any filler or clunker episodes. Peter has such a strong presence and I like that he is older. It's like the Doctor is accepting the fact that he's not a young man and he can't hide from who he really is. 

The Christmas special was wonderful and really brought River Song's story full circle. Kind of a pity we probably won't have more of her. 

Looking forward to season ten!

I like Capaldi's Doctor because 1) its much darker and less goofy than some of the others and 2) dude can shred!

(Trivia:  Peter Capaldi was the lead guitarist and vocalist in a punk band called The Dreamboys with Craig Ferguson (formerly of The Late Late Show and The Drew Carey Show) on drums.)

I am a new Dr Who fan In fact I Love Capaldi as the Doctor, when he became the Dr I read that he was channeling a bit of a rock star into the character he even mentioned David Bowie by name so this grabbed my curiosity. I gotta say I like him as the Dr. Not happy that Clara died but I am also curious on who the next Companion will be.

I met Karen Gillian at the comic con last year got my picture taken with her. She is freakin tall but she was extremely nice. we had my daughter (whose name is Amelia) and Amelia was beaming and smiling.  Also got to sit in on most of a panel with her and the actress who plays Riversong. it was cool to sit in on.

Ive seen a few episodes with David Tennant as the Dr and Matt Smith I like both of them too as the Doctor.

Sorry, my Daughter had wisdom teeth pulled today, and we're marathoning some of her favorite episodes.  Just confirming how much I love the stories with Matt Smith.

I've been a fan of Doctor Who since my childhood (the seventies), know some of the stories almost back to front, and have over 200 novels. :-)
I watched the new series for quite a while, but have got tired of it. Capaldi seemed like a good Doctor from what I saw (they've all been good in their own way), but I prefer to just stick with the classic series mostly now.

My wife and I are waiting for them to bring Craig Ferguson on as a companion. Or the villain. That would work too.
