Who have we lost in the "Christian Music" market?
Since there are threads on famous people who recently died and David Bowie, I wanted to compile a list of who we've lost over the years in the "Christian music market". I'm speaking of the modern era, which would include anyone from the Jesus Music movement until present day. Please fill in any that I have missed.
Andraé Crouch - Gospel artist - (heart attack and related ailments)
Chris Hyde - metal drummer - February 18, 2015 - long-term illness
Dana Key - rock vocalist from Degarmo & Key (ruptured blood clot)
David Durrance - AKA "Ash" - from Opus Majestic (lung disease)
D-Boy Rodriguez - rapper (murdered)
Gene Eugene - alt-rock artist, part of Adam Again (brain aneurysm)
Keith Green - (plane crash)
Kevin Mills - former bassist for the Newsboys (motorcycle accident)
Larry Norman - pioneer folk-rock artist in the Jesus Music movement (heart attack and related ailments)
Mark Heard - alt-rock artist, worked with many artists (heart attack)
Rich Mullins - folk artist (car accident)
Again, I'm sure I'm missing some, please help me fill in the gaps and I'll update this post.

This one is a lot more obscure. David Durrance (aka Ash from Opus Majestic) died in 2014 from some sort of lung-related issue (I've heard some people say it was cancer and others say it wasn't).

Bob Wall (Love Song). Not sure of cause of death.
We've probably lost other Jesus Music pioneers too that I'm forgetting.

Yikes. I looked that up and 14 other people also died in that fire.

Didn't the guitarist from Rose pass away this year?

I thought I remember hearing that from somewhere. I believe his name was Steve Kamada,

This actually bums me out far than any of the "celebrity" deaths thus far. He used to post here. Got banned because he decided it was the best sort of fun to troll conservative members and deliberately rile them up......but BEFORE things took that turn, he was a cool enough cat.

"You must be," said the Cat, or you wouldn’t have come here."

I thought the exact same thing when I was typing out his name.

He will be missed! Rose is still one of my all time favorites!
We've also lost:
John Heald - Armada
Matt Harding - Apostle

Oh, yes. He and 5minutes had several knock-down-drag-outs on Firestream back in the day.

I still quote Ash in my signature. We butted heads and trolled each other so many times. Only remember one "fight" though, but I miss the dude.
There was less trolling but more fights with his brother, but I miss him as well. (He didn't die, he just isn't online anymore in Christian metal circles as far as I know.)

Yeah. All of Rose's albums still get spins from me. I was just thinking about his soloing around the time that he passed. I really loved what he did, but never heard from him again after that.
