Guns N Roses Reunion?
On Facebook the official GNR page has gone back to the original logo and if you go to their site it also has the official logo on the main page on top of merch. Thus fueling the ongoing rumors of a reunion of the I hope original lineup. If it happens who plans on going to one of the shows?

Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
Why? So Axl can throw a hissy and delay the start of the show a couple of times, and then have the whole thing cancel when Slash and Duff realize he hasn't changed an iota?
(Yes, of course I'd go provides tickets are not priced out of the stratosphere.)

I think this will probably happen, as Bob Dylan sang "Money doesn't talk it swears.". The big questions are will Steven Adler be the drummer? I think not but it would be great if they brought him along. And will Izzy Stradlin partake? Never sure what Izzy will do.

Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
I will be surprised if this happens...I read they are booked for one show down in south America for 1 million dollars...we will see... I heard axel not long ago and I thought he sounded horrible. There are several city's in the states that ban Guns n Roses for ever playing there again because of the radical behaviour, violence and venue destruction that GnR caused back in the 80s...also a few Canadian city's...The other question is does anyone care anymore...sure, they have a fan base..but enough to sell out arenas?...I doubt it...

Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
I'm pretty sure they could sell out a 50 date worldwide arena tour simply based on legend, nostalgia, and 80's hipster-ism alone......there's enough "under 30" folks out there who'd go just for the "cool" factor it's ridiculous.Savage Amusement wrote:I will be surprised if this happens...I read they are booked for one show down in south America for 1 million dollars...we will see... Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
This tour would be HUGE.
Another album ... not so much. I doubt it would be any better than those Use Your Illusion let-downs.
I think this will happen. Both camps need it to happen and if Axl/Slash no longer hate each other then there's really nothing to stand in its way.
Rock'n'Roll is OLD and these guys know they are not getting any younger. It's now or never.

The biggest daily newspaper in Fland wrote today that according to Billboard GNR is coming back and at least Slash is back. Their first concert will be in April in California at Coachella-festival. And after that the band will have 25 city stadion tour in US.
This sounds... well awesome! This is a band I´d see if at least Slash is there again.
BUT. According to source the prices of tickets to concerts are ridicculous: 250-270 dollars.

Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
I just hope we get a new album. Concerts rarely come to my neck of the woods anyway, so seeing them live is not an option (and especially not at those prices).

almost every major arena show that comes to Tulsa cost this much or more....even small auditoriums and casinos are charging $75 a ticket or more here...I saw Iron Maiden tickets here starting at $300 and going up to $1000 a piece..Rush tickets were the same way as well as Motley Crue tickets..do you older guys remember paying $5 to $12 for top rate concerts? I payed $12 to see Ac/Dc with Judas Priest back in the day and I think around $5 to see stryper on the To Hell With The Devil Tour...

Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
Shoot, my tickets for Maiden on the Final Frontier your were around $35 before ticketmaster got ahold of them. Final cost I believe was $58 or so....for lawn tickets.
Worth every penny, but, yeah, ticket prices have gone a little haywire for "name" acts......unless you like deathmetal. Those are still cheap-ish......Cannibal Corpse/The Faceless/Obscura/Neuraxis was 18 at the door, and Children of Bodom/Amon Amarth/Job for a Cowboy/Battlecross/Huntress were $22. T shirts were more expensive than the tickets at those shows.......

Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
I remember the first and only time GnR came to my country Axel said something very disrepectful toward the audience, he said: I was expecting you to receive us with bows and arrows. The people in the audience took it lighlty and enhjoyed the show very much I was there with my older brother and had a blast.
If they come (not very likely) I would go without a doubt.

There is not a band alive that I would pay $300-1000 bucks to see. No one is worth that kind of money!
Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
The problem is where I live scalping is legal...so agency's and even employees of the coliseum buy up all the tickets and then sell them through the internet... even bands have done this...Nickleback got caught buying all the tulsa show tickets and then selling them themselves for way more than the face value..it was a scandal and in the end Nickelback was ban from coming here...I guess the coliseum employees were mad that Nickleback got to the tickets first

Thank you for reminding me to not move to Tulsa - ever !
Those prices are untolerable. I checked my local situation and you can get tickets to concerts of high profile artist from starting of 59 € to some 100€.
And you can get tickets to big festivals with tons of artists included in a price range 98-150 €.
I would pay 100-120 € for original GNR but N-E-V-E-R over 200 €:s.

Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
I would like to see them if they come to Atlanta.
The only time I saw them was when they opened for Motley Crue. About two songs into the show Axl started cussing a fan and jumped into the crowd fighting. He ended up about three rows in front with the police carrying him away. Then the rest of the band played a few, I believe Rolling Stones songs, then walked off the stage.
Thank goodness Motley put on a great show.

Still in the rumor phase. Their management is tight lipped. A sign that something is brewing.

Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
Ive read this as well, and Ive read that the only confirmed is Axl, Slash and Duff would love to see Izzy and Adler but wouldnt be surprised if Sorum is on tap for this
I cant afford 200 bucks for a show that i will have crap seats. However from my reading the only confirmed show is Cochella and there is talk of an arena tour.

Re: Guns N Roses Reunion?
Seems like I read that Izzy is no longer in the music business and said he would never tour with axl again..for no amount of money...
and alder has his own band and his book...
but who knows...
I personally wouldn't be willing to pay more than maybe $30 to see this band..so guess I will stay home
