Guardian - Fire And Love vs. Miracle Mile
(Yes I know some people here are partial to First Watch or one of the later albums, but for the sake of this discussion let's focus on the first couple Jamie Rowe releases.)
After Jamie Rowe joined Guardian they put out two classic albums: Fire and Love and Miracle Mile.
I honestly have a hard time picking between the two which is my favorite. What is your favorite?

Miracle Mile. Stronger songs, more variety, and better production. F&L is great but it's a little more generic, song-wise, and the production's a little flatter.

I love both albums but will go with "Miracle Mile" just because of production. "Fire & Love" needs to be pumped up some in the sonic range through remastering. Hint, hint, Cliffy!!!!
Re: Guardian - Fire And Love vs. Miracle Mile
Fire and Love for me. It's one of my top albums of all time.
Miracle Mile is also excellent but has too many ballads for my taste.

Re: Guardian - Fire And Love vs. Miracle Mile
It's funny that I was listening to Miracle Mile in my car just half an hour ago. And I was thinking: "Wow, this album is great. I guess I should revisit it more often.". But I also thought: "By the way, it would be a good idea to revisit Fire and Love, as well."
So, those are my two guardians favorite albums. But I realize that everytime I listen to any Guardian album I end up revisiting Fire and Love. While comparing both albums, I see Miracle Mile as an album full of energy and cool ballads. But Fire and Love speaks a lot more to my heart for several reasons. Firstly, F&L is more straight forward to hard rock style, while MM mixes hard rock with a few modern elements. The lyrics for F&L are amazing, more focused on christian relationship, while MM mixes it with love between a man and a woman. F&L has my favorite Guardian song (Time Stand Still) and it has only two ballads that seems to arrive on expected times, without breaking the hard rock moments.
So, these arguments make F&L uncomparable better.
But don't ask my wife about that, she loves all guardian ballads, so she would certainly say Miracle Mile.

Miracle Mile by a nose. Really hard to pick as both are excellent. MM just seems a bit more mature from a musical perspective. I love Let It Roll ... maybe my fave from Guardian, but agree there are a couple too many ballads.

The one thing about Miracle Mile while a really good album. It contains Shoeshine Johnny, not one of my favorite Guardian tunes. Too many horns.

Wow. This one isn't even close. Fire and Love is definitely in the lead right now. I thought the vote would be more evenly divided.

Fire and Love was closely followed by MM on the first couple of days. But now, there is a big difference like it was supposed to be im a hard rock and heavy metal forum.

This is an easy choice. Change the CD to something decent, like Crimson Moonlight or Feast Eternal.

Re: Guardian - Fire And Love vs. Miracle Mile
Fire & Love is my favorite Guardian album, followed by Miracle Mile. I actually find myself getting more MM songs stuck in my head and singing/humming the tunes to myself more than any F&L songs, but F&L is the better album. Both are great though!

You're missing out on some classic stuff. Hunt out the early albums. Much better than Buzz.
