Technically, other than Yahweh, the digital won't be available until October either

Re: New Stryper Song Available - "Yahweh"!
A crown of thorns, it was placed on His head
They clothed him in purple and stated their case
“He is The King of the jews" as they slapped His face
Pilate said, “I find no reason to charge Him”
As soon as they saw Him they said crucify
He just proclaimed to be God, He surely must die
(Chorus)
Yahweh - Yahweh - Yahweh!
When Pilate heard this he was afraid
He asked The Lord where do You come from
Don’t You realize I have power to free or kill The Son
Jesus finally decided to answer him
You have no power at all over Me
If it didn’t come from above, you’re too blind to see
(Chorus)
Yahweh - Yahweh - Yahweh!
Yahweh - Yahweh - Yahweh!
And so, the soldiers took Jesus
Dragging His cross to a place where He knew
They hung a sign that would read “The King Of The Jews”
They nailed His flesh to the wood
He said “It’s Finished” and laid down His life
Gave up His spirit for all - He was crucified!
(Chorus)
Yahweh - Yahweh - Yahweh!
Yahweh - Yahweh - Yahweh!

First, so glad you all like "Yahweh"! Awesome!!!!
Also Sentient 6, nothing against Theocracy but I don't own one of they're songs/albums and I couldn't name one either. Trust me, they we're no influence on this song or album at all. Clint Lowery (Sevendust) sent me the intro riff and I ran with it and 20 minutes later Yahweh was born. Again, no disrespect to Theocracy but my/our influences don't lie in modern/present day rock/metal in the least bit. Sorry to disappoint you:-)
Wait till you hear the rest.........

WOW!!! What an AMAZINGLY epic track. This song far exceeds any expectations that I had. I don't know which I love more, the insane opening riff, or Michael's insane vocals. The drums sound huge, the guitar solos rip!!! Heavy, ballsy, classic yet modern, Awesomeness all around. The thing that really surprised me was the wah drenched solo. I can not wait for the cd to be released. God bless Stryper!!!!!!

Re: New Stryper Song Available - "Yahweh"!
Definitely odd man out here.
With so much talk about Stryper, I decided to listen to them for the first time. That's right, this song was the first of Stryper I've heard. You can close your mouths now.
I'll reserve my opinion of it at this time. Not saying the music was bad, it certainly isn't - I just don't want an angry mob confronting me what I liked and didn't like of a genre of metal I have listened very, very little to.

Start with their old stuff dude. Never introduce yourself to an 80s band by starting with their latest release.

Re: New Stryper Song Available - "Yahweh"!
I listened to the song and I liked it. I liked it a lot a lot! It reminded me of 3 Stryper songs:
The Rock That Makes Me Roll for the part up to the solo.
God for the over all feel of the song
Jesus is Just Alright when it slows down after the solo. Has that Black Sabbath/Metallica feel.
More Than a Man came to mind for the over all message and heaviness as well.
The intro has the hint of that neoclassical/Yngwie Malmsteen feel as well.
The choir/stacked vocals has that theatrical feel like when the atmosphere got dark in Star Wars Episode 3 when the choir kicked in during the light saber fights.
Over all the song is epic. I'm looking forward to the album and I am wondering if there are other songs with this same feel and that is long like this song.
No More Hell to Pay was sort of a throwback/tribute/feel/what the next album should of been after To Hell With the Devil. I'm wondering if Fallen will sort of have the Soldiers Under Command feel to it.
Also, Stryper used to be called a commercial/glam metal band based on the 80's material. It appears that they are leaning more towards a power metal direction than before based on TMHTP and from what we heard from Fallen.

Sure, I did too. It's because of the layered choir chorus and the power metal speed. Just because two artists arrived at the same destination doesn't necessitate one influenced the other though. They each could have gotten as much from just listening to Iron Maiden and Helloween. Being a fan of all of the above, I can't complain.
Ah, Michael. If you can't name a Theocracy song then you have your homework cut out. Your Christian Metal cred is on the line!

Re: New Stryper Song Available - "Yahweh"!
I am always amazed when someone who has never liked a certain band or genre feels compelled to still make a comment in a thread about that band or genre reaffirming that they don't like it.
Especially when the thread is an upbeat one celebrating something positive about that band.

Your comment is a little out of line in my opinion.NoOneIsHere wrote:I am always amazed when someone who has never liked a certain band or genre feels compelled to still make a comment in a thread about that band or genre reaffirming that they don't like it.

1. He has never listened to them before and was stating his opinion.
2. This is a forum where everyone has their own opinion.
3. I have commented on bands Ive never listened to before just like some people around here know I do not like Theocracy.
If what your saying is true?
How dare Gipperman make a negative comment about Theocracy

Re: New Stryper Song Available - "Yahweh"!
Gipperman was replying to a comment about a Theocracy influence in his music, in a Stryper thread, so your comment isn't accurate about that being the same thing, not even close. And he wasn't negative, btw.
And yes, everyone has their opinion and anyone can voice their opinion, I never said otherwise. I wasn't blasting him for stating his opinion.
I said "I" will never understand it.
And I won't ever understand it.
I don't go into a thread of some brutal band or core band when everyone is all excited about some new release and say "meh, never liked it, listened again, still don't".
I get the fact that someone CAN do it......I just don't understand WHY.
Personally, if I know I don't like a genre I stay away from threads about that genre.

Re: New Stryper Song Available - "Yahweh"!
Im just stating some things
I also have never understood how people can respond to someones so called "negative comment" with a "negative comment" complaining about negative comments. It annoys the crap out of me so I thought I'd state my opinion on your opinion of his opinion.
Plenty of people complain about "core" I get it this forum doesnt like it.
I myself like to hear negative comments and different opinions and not stay all cooped up in my own world of music.
Its why I joined a forum. To learn new things I may or may not like.
But thats just "my opinion"
and that above is "your opinion"
so meh lets move on with our lives

That's my point though, I don't complain about core (I used it as an example in my last post). It isn't a style I like, but I don't complain about it. I just ignore it. I don't understand why the same people always have to complain about core, either. See, it goes both ways
It's kind of like someone who doesn't like pizza ordering from Dominos, then writing a complaint that they didn't like their pizza.
But I get your point.
And yes, you can express your opinion, just like I expressed mine.
