Re: Stop the Bleeding!
Recently picked up this lp, think I had it like 100 years ago or so, but never paid it much mind back then, it's quite good...

That will never happen for me, as I enjoy the Luke era more, yet even none of them would crack the top 5, top 25 perhaps...

Re: Stop the Bleeding!
....in the world of Christian metal ( or secular for that matter ) you can't touch this one.
The first three albums are an example of a " Christian " band that hold their own in the secular scene as well.

Totally agree!
Re: Stop the Bleeding!
I was transporting some teenage friends of a friend's daughter a year or so ago. I new they were into metal and hard music. I popped in Pathogenic into the car player and they were totally digging it and banging heads along with it. The early albums still register even with the younger generation.

Re: Stop the Bleeding!
There are many christian albums that can hold their own and quite a many few that surpass....the thing holding them back to join ranks is of course the tag attached to them but this we know.sentient 6 wrote:....in the world of Christian metal ( or secular for that matter ) you can't touch this one.

here is a few I think that match or surpass anything secular and I have listened to many bands in both camps..still just my opinion I guess
Believer dimensions..incredible album
seventh Angel Anything they have done to date.
Mortification first 3 albums.
White cross first 3 albums
Holy soldier first 2 albums kill anything secular that was glam or melodic metal
living sacrifice reborn and back.
Vengeance rising, the Crucified with Pillars and the list goes on!
all of these are Classics carved in stone the secular bands were just lucky the competion were tagged christian!

It was VR who gave me an advance copy of Stop the Bleeding and told me, "Look out for these guys. They're gonna do something."

Re: Stop the Bleeding!
In reality, there are far too many Christian rock/metal lp's to mention that can hold their weight w/anything, keep in mind, not all secular music is that great either...
