Recently picked this up, I remember when it came out there were mixed reviews. I like it, sounds like a Rob Rock lp to me...

It pretty much is. I like it, but I don't play it as frequently as I do his other solo stuff.

It's good but lacks something his solo stuff has. A hook maybe?

That was my only (small) complaint about the album no real hooks in most of the songs. Well done musically and vocally, I just would have been happier with some hooks.
