Original Four Star Revival drummer killed in motorcycle accident

It is with sadness and a heavy heart that we report that original Four Star Revival drummer Eddie Ling has passed away due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. Please pray for the family left behind, including his wife, 2 young daughters and newborn son. They need all the love, support and prayers they can get right now. I saw this yesterday. Definitely a tragedy. Had Eddie left the band?

Yes. He left the band just a few months ago after his son was born. He wanted to be able to devote more time to his family. Though he loved playing in 4SR, with the band starting to take up more and more of his time and having 2 young daughters and a brand new baby, he felt he needed to step away and give that time to his family. That's the kind of guy he was.

I saw this on Facebook.  Oh my goodness, this is so tragic.  My heart and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

Man that is sad. One more tragic reminder of the broken world we live in. We can take comfort in knowing that he is now with his Savior and is now finished with the battle against the flesh. This does not take the grief away ... especially for his wife and children, but hopefully at some point they can look to the future when they will see him again. I'm praying for them.

2 Cor. 5
For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. ² For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, ³ if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. ⁴ For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. ⁵ He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

Thank you Professor_Valconian and thank you everybody for all your prayers. We ask that you please continue to pray for the family. The outpouring of prayers and support from all over the world, as well as the vast amount of people that showed up for Eddie's Memorial Service, show just how many hearts and lives he has touched. Eddie was one of the most loving and kind hearted people I have ever known. He had a deep love for Jesus, his family and for people in general. He will be greatly missed.
