Oh Spotify,,

I was checking Spotify to see if they had any albums by Angelica. I did find them, but the Angelica albums are in the same artist slot as what looks to be some pop singer who also is named Angelica. Couldnt they find some way to seperate the two artists? Its definitely going to confuse the fans of both Angelicas

Pandora does the same thing with Deliverance. There's a Latino salsa act by the same name. D'oh! Monkey Biz

A few years ago, I was shopping for Angelica self titled album and had the same problem. I really have no idea how I found the album and bought it but, I can say that it took me a few days of hunting lol. I had to trail, sniff, fight wild animals who tried to get in my way and run from giant boulders to finally find a seller who was selling the right Angelica album. It was pretty intense.

I've noticed the same thing for a few other bands. The album listings for Living Sacrifice features both the band that many of us here know and love and a traditional gospel choir, for example.

I find it ironic that your Spotify thread is about Angelica. I have been doing listening marathons lately and am currently working through the Dennis Cameron Angelica albums.

On a side note, apparently the tablet version of Spotify (though not the premium version) is now playing albums in shuffle mode (as late as Friday, it was possible to listen to an album in order in full, albiet with ads included). However, you can still skip to a certain song (so you can simply skip to the next song before spotify shuffles to another track), and its still not nearly as bad as the mobile version (which also offers "suggested" tracks along with the songs on the album, some of which cannot be skipped).
