Good song, cheesy lyrics?

What are some good songs that have seriously cheesy lyrics? I dont mean offensive or blasphemous lyrics here, just lyrics that strike you as cheesy. Dreamland by Hammerfall comes to mind, "Come with me and i'll take you there to the land of make-believe". Now unless this is a tribute to Mr. Rogers, no metal song should be talking about the land of make-believe.

Ah if Hammerfall rubbed you wrong then you haven't listened to Manowar in a while lol. I love the band on a pure Spinal Tap meets Conan level but oh the cheese is so blue. Here's an example for you Odin I await thee your true son am I I hail you now as I die. I pledge you my sword and to man I kneel ours is the kingdom of steel. Dragonland is another one that comes to mind. I don't know though bro I think these kind of songs from these bands are meant for larckers and escapist's it does have a certain kind of appeal

I think when you're talking about a band who dresses in loincloth, cheesy lyrics aren't the first thing you notice.

  So true.

Power metal in general has some pretty goofy lyrics...  One of my favorite bands is Sonata Arctica [they were one of the first metal bands I discovered after Metallica and Maiden] but their lyrics can be quite silly.  Great band though and they put on a fantastic live show.

 Im waiting for the power metal benefit album to save the eagles, it seems to be the favorite animal of every power metal band. Even Theocracy got in the act with "On Eagles' Wings". Dont forget the ones about having a "Heart Like a Lion", which reminds me of this song:

Actually, that's one use that I think is warranted. I actually see some real context for a band like Theocracy to use it.

I loved the gamma ray song To The Metal..It reminds me of Judas Priest..and I dig alot of powermetal lyrics... I think you have to understand the history of the era they sing about as well as have a huge imagination...Alot of the songs power metal bands sing are right out of the history book and Graphic Novels like Thor...

Heck, Hammerfall were singing about A Song of Ice and Fire long before the Game of Thrones tv show

Getting back on topic, this line in Bon Jovi's Bed of Roses always made me crack up:
