Cool. Don't know if one can find them all the way in California, but my grandparents do in Philadelphia. ...Or maybe that was a Vidalia onion salad dressing; I don't remember now.

From the St Louis area, we have St Louis barbecue and pork steaks, which I had no idea were not anywhere else...

Let me guess how that is done. It's meat salvaged from what was a cooler in the Quik Trip after looters burn it down?Gandalf the White wrote:From the St Louis area, we have St Louis barbecue..

Fat backs and corn pone.
Seriously, I'm in Tennessee. We will eat almost anything. We have everything from traditional southern dining to Thai to Mexican (as we call it), Tex Mex, French, Cajan, Italian, Greek, etc. If someone can cook it, we're gonna try it.

I live in Oklahoma and it was in the last few years I realized we are the only ones who do BBQ Bologna. The restaurants dont do it right, but when it is done right, oh man its good

I've heard that's considered very disgusting by non-locals, but the ingredient list looks fine to me.
Australia is too young to have developed many unique dishes, our cuisine is really just a base of British food with a lot of Italian and Asian from immigration.
One dessert we do have is the pavlova.
I should mention that New Zealand also claims to have come up with this (they even have the most recent edit on that Wikipedia page), however this is a common myth. Note NZ is a country that has an entire museum devoted to inventions that New Zealanders think they invented, but were really invented by Australians. That's right, their patriotic misconceptions are so ludicrous that their own government feels the need to correct them.
