Re: Terminator Genisys
Very excited for this one. Hopefully it can redeem the franchise after Rise of the Machines and Salvation.

I've always wanted to see T2, I hear it's the best. This one seems promising, though.
Re: Terminator Genisys
Oh you should definitely watch #2! Personally, I enjoy the first one the most. It's more of a horror film in the context of sci-fi, whereas the second one is more of an action flick - much like Alien and Aliens.
I may get booed off stage for saying this, but I really enjoyed the third one. It fully embraced its cheesiness and campiness and just went with it. I thought the fourth one looked pretty with all the cool special effects, but the plot and especially the dialogue/acting sucked so bad that it really ruined the movie IMO.

I really liked both of these not as much of a classic as the first or T2 thoughAdam wrote:Very excited for this one. Hopefully it can redeem the franchise after Rise of the Machines and Salvation.

I thought Christian Bale did a great job in Salvation

I liked the last two as well. I will say that Salvation might not have been the best of all four tho. I started watching the series, but lost interest after a couple of episodes.

Re: Terminator Genisys
How could young Sarah knew about terminators, use militia language, shoot guns and whatnot and suddenly know nothing in T1? Was her memory erased?

He wasn't in Genesis. But he was around the time of Jesus.

Re: Terminator Genisys
I'm a straight up Terminator fanboy and enjoyed Rise Of The Machines as well. It was a true Terminator sequel and I don't see where the hate comes from besides the fact that it wasn't written or directed by James Cameron. As for T:Salvation, I tried really hard to like that movie. REALLY REALLY hard... The future being some kind of modern warzone instead of the dark apocalyptic warzone where plasma cannons are being shot by terrifying machines was the opposite of what the fans wanted. We wanted the future we've been teased for the first 3 films. I want to see more skulls being stepped on and rolled over by terminators! Ultimately, it just ended up being underwhelming. Don't even get me started on that awkward out of place kiss scene between John and Katherine... That was almost as awkward as the kiss from Rise of the Planet of the Apes. John and Katherine had such minor roles in that movie it hurt...Kerrick wrote:Oh you should definitely watch #2! Personally, I enjoy the first one the most. It seemed odd to me at first. My guess is something happens to alter time possibly? Seems like somehow the timeline was changed and its resulted in a mashup of various Terminator events. At least thats what I got out of it. I may need to watch the trailer again.
Re: Terminator Genisys
It looks like a terminator was sent further into the past and raised Sarah Connor instead of helping John Connor which kind of makes more sense if you think about it. In her years she would have never been able to learn military tactic, combat and raise her son into the same lifestyle all by herself in her 30s. If T3 is still canon, she dies when Connor is around his mid 20s so, he wouldn't know how to deal with the machines. Now, Sarah being raised to fight the machines makes a lot more sense. She will know exactly how to take them out and will have enough knowledge to pass it on to her son and her son will become a much more fitting soldier and savior of the human race.Metal Blessing Radio wrote:KaramKaram wrote:How could young Sarah knew about terminators, use militia language, shoot guns and whatnot and suddenly know nothing in T1? Re: Terminator Genisys
It will be interesting to see how they pull it off. I do enjoy some good time travel, which is why I like Doctor Who. But I would think stopping judgement day would create a time paradox in which the people who were sent back in time would cease to exist. But I suppose we will have to wait and see.
Re: Terminator Genisys
So did anyone like this movie like me?
Or where would rank it compared to the latters?

I love the movie. I love almost everything Terminator. The only titles I can say I disliked were Terminator Salvation and Terminator 3: The Game.Hardcore Christian wrote:So did anyone like this movie like me?
