Here's a band with a definite love for Jesus in their lyrics but music more akin to the work of Stevie Ray Vaughn.  I downloaded from Amazon their debut album.

Not bad at all. They do show a bit of variety in their writing. Nice cover of Water Grave.

The lyrics are a bit repetitive, but that is somewhat of a staple in blues bands.  Everyone can't write like Glenn Kaiser!

Overall, this is a strong album and will get many miles and smiles from me.

Darrell Mansfield is my righteous blues go-to guy.  His latest covers of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door," "Along the Watchtower," and "House of the Rising Sun" drop the jaw and bangeth the head.  Cool

I like Mansfield's voice, but I must admit that I get tired of all the harmonica.  I like some good blues harp playing, but I hate to hear it in every song.  I am the same way with a saxophone or fiddle or most anything other than a guitar.
